The Susan Roesgen Tea Party Report: What CNN Didn’t Show You

Remember this snotty, combative, openly hostile CNN “journalist” whose coverage of one of the tea parties yesterday was the high water mark for liberal scorn and derision aimed at the tea party movement?
Here’s what CNN didn’t show you.

Its little wonder CNN is hemorrhaging viewers.
Oh, and by the way, when CNN and Roesgen was covering an anti-Bush rally in 2006 she wasn’t nearly as concerned about the protesters comparing Bush to Hitler as she was about the tea party folks comparing Obama to Hitler.
Here’s a hint: Both are wrong.
Update: For the record, here’s how Roesgen covers a left-wing rally:

And here’s how left-wing protesters treat a Fox News reporter:

    You mean like:

    1. Obama is the anti-christ

You get any group of people together and there will always be the few.

    2. Progressivism is Opressivism

    It is. Politely stated.

    3. Republicans SUCK too. End the FED.

Maybe not as polite as you normally are (haha!), but *shrugs*. It’s pretty mild. It’s definitely not a typical “fuck you Republicans” sign seen at any “anti-war” rally of the last eight years.

  • DaleC

Can you please link me to a fuck you sign that deals with the fact that deals with a slightly different issue, such as thousands of innocent people actually losing their lives and homes because our country bombs them, in our name?

Government screws up another country…. OK to be a jerk.

Government screws up your own country…. not OK.

    I get it.

Have a winning comment… make it

    Have a losing comment…. change the subject/terms

    I get it.

    It’s so easy being liberal.

  • docdave

is absolutely, 100% unadulterated, nonsensical bullshit

That’s pretty much what you post. You have this scathing opinion of the tea parties, parties that you probably never attended. For you ignorance rules…

  • AbuBakerSmith

I’m sure some here remember during the 80′s (Lebanon)when a “”certain cable news org” aired live the location of a Marine Mortor Team in the hills, there was really only 1 place they could be and within a short times of “news agency” courteous targeting information the Marines received incoming fire which caused casualties and loss of life. The “so called news org” stood by their so called “reporting” with their the people have a right to know excuse. It as this issue that prompted the Media Blackout of Military operations for many years after. Extremists have been grateful ever since allowing this particular “news” org “exclusive” coverage in exchange for their “reporting” services as in the example of this particular “news” agencies recent Reporting from Baghdad for the Saddam Hussein Regime. Ayman Al Zawahiri watches CNN. CNN reports – you decide.

Magris, to some it does. To others it is a sweet knowledge that words and actions matter.

To communists and liberals who have no clue, it is the enemy because they can not understand, confront nor defeat it.

Joseph Goebbels would be so proud of them!

    Not so sure.

To be truly effective, propaganda is not supposed to look like propaganda. It’s the chocolate-coated turd that most folks (if they are otherwise uninformed) swallow whole because the wrapping appears genuine.

There is an outer layer of truth surrounding the Big Lie, which is hidden in the core of the message.

Joseph might have given this one a C- because it puts too many viewers on guard.

  • Mickey

It is interesting that Obama has recieved the “anti christ” label. Personally I don’t think he is that smart.

Chavez and some whack libs used to call Bush the devil but you ignored that, so I guess this is fair play.

I got a chuckle when The ManCow radio show played Obama’s “Yes we can” verbage backwards and it sounded like “thank you satan”.

When all his tax increases kick in after 2010 you all will cursing him to hell.

  • Hannitized

    Liq,

    1. Obama is the anti-christ

You get any group of people together and there will always be the few.

OK, but that is not how you presented it in your other comment. You made it look like the left is unhinged while the right is perfect.

    2. Progressivism is Opressivism

    It is. Politely stated.

You said we don’t see rude things written, on flags. But I have never seen that, but I see rude things written on signs.

I also see race related things written on signs. I never saw the left do that.

    3. Republicans SUCK too. End the FED.

Maybe not as polite as you normally are (haha!), but *shrugs*. It’s pretty mild. It’s definitely not a typical “fuck you Republicans” sign seen at any “anti-war” rally of the last eight years.

Can you please link me to a fuck you sign that deals with the fact that deals with a slightly different issue, such as thousands of innocent people actually losing their lives and homes because our country bombs them, in our name?

    Just sayin.

Does anyone else find it interesting that CNN has claimed a “Copyright Infringement” on the subject video, but not on the others?

  • Mark

Let me be clear. The Republican Tea Party sham is absolutely, 100% unadulterated, nonsensical bullshit (pardon my language. And the intelligent people taking part in SAB here know it.

Well, I was going to chide the CNN reporter for not having a clue on what’s going on in this country, I guess I will include you now, also.

  • andophiroxia

    The Republican Tea Party sham

Um, the Tea Parties are not Republican. It’s just a protest against what the government is doing in allocating taxes and what they are doing fiscally. Anyone is welcome to join.

I would think anyone of any economic class, regardless of what political party they are affiliated with has an interest in this.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com/readers/entry/homosexuality_is_wrong_-_a_compendium move_zig

    Spot-on, Lik,

The ironic thing about it all is that Leftards consider themselves — somehow — morally and intellectually superior to Americans.

(I categorize the factions as Americans — those who love America and honor its Constitution, and Statists — those who direct bile and invective at America, are contemptuous of our Constitution, strive to weaken and destroy American and her institutions while providing aid and comfort to America’s enemies)

  • carrick

No bias at all on the part of that reporter.

    None.

    /snark

  • J.

Could anyone tell me what that lady said to Roesgen in that first YouTube clip? CNN has had it taken off the internet and I can’t see it. Thanks!

  • sayanything-5371

If you just close the “C” in CNN the letters would be true. ONN, the Obama News Network. All Obama, All the time.

  • Oswaldo

Yeah Communist News Network is brutal, they are so anti republican it’s offensive.

Hmm. How about anti-Obama Lou Dobbs? And could anyone be more anti-Dem and offensive than Hannity?
Fox is far less fair and balanced (all biased BS)and more anti-Dem than the fair and balanced CNN network is anti-anybody.

  • robert108

Ignorant little dino: The Contract for America delivered an historic thumping to the Dem culture of corruption in Congress, after the Dem culture of corruption had held the House(where the money is spent) for 40 years, since 1954.
Another thing you know nothing about.

  • andophiroxia

What a snooty reporter. That’s the message that the tea party has been reiterating over and over and the reporter is overintellectualizing it.

  • http://sillytroll.com/ Dino2

    More drama from Mickey-stem.

    That time of the month?

  • 2Hotel9

More history revision from dinothefakehomo. Too funny.

  • http://foitv.com/ Magris

    Truth hurts!

  • Corky

I see many of these left wing socialist are upset because of the tea parties. GOOD! The message is getting through. After reading many of the blogs from these people I now understand just who the extremist really are! You people really don’t have a clue do you??

  • 2Hotel9

Osmoron toddles through and spews its Democrat Party talking points, and did not even bother to change the wording of it. What a moron.

  • Hannitized

    Likwid,

    Did you watch the video?

Polite and well written signs with clear messages against big government.

    You mean like:

    1. Obama is the anti-christ
    2. Progressivism is Opressivism
    3. Republicans SUCK too. End the FED.

The Contract for America delivered an historic thumping to the Dem culture of corruption in Congress, after the Dem culture of corruption had held the House(where the money is spent) for 40 years, since 1954.

Actually what it did was give the Republicans a victory. It did nothing to stop corruption. It just changed which party got the money.

  • andophiroxia

If you just close the “C” in CNN the letters would be true. ONN, the Obama News Network. All Obama, All the time.

No, it should stay the same – Communist News Network.

Oswaldo – The Republican Tea Party sham…

Where was this “Republican Tea Party sham”? As far as I can find, this “Republican Tea Party” didn’t exist.

  • Bat One

Let me be clear. The Republican Tea Party sham is absolutely, 100% unadulterated, nonsensical bullshit (pardon my language. And the intelligent people taking part in SAB here know it.

    Oswaldo,

Its a rhetorical question, I know. But I wonder if you wouldn’t have likely said the very same thing about the Republicans’ 1994 Contract With America. (That is, if you’re old enough to recall 1994!)

Of course, the Contract was a GOP maneuver, and a highly successful one as well. The TEA Parties are not. Not yet. But if the Republican Party is smart enough, and quick enough, they’ll capitalize on this, giving the party a new, more conservatively populist identity in the process.

There were over 15,000 people at the Atlanta party last night, despite the onerous traffic (the Braves has a night game at home last evening, less than a mile from the Georgia State Capital). If I was (shudder!) a devout liberal Democrat, I’d think twice about disparaging the Tea parties and dismissing their significance. You do so at your partisan peril.

  • 2Hotel9

Tell you what else you saw, after the events people cleaned up. Ever been to the Mall during and after left leaning events? It looks like an explosion at a landfill!

And to be entirely open, I did not stay at the Pittsburgh TEA Party, passed through and met some folks, gave them a stack of printed out documents and some fliers, then on to Greensburg and the same, then to Johnstown and the same, then on to Holidaysburg and the same, then back to Butler county and back to the printer and internet.

This was just one day. Now for the next event.

  • jimmypop

In 94, republicans had been out of power for decades.

finally… you admit something we all knew. you ran this country. now look at it… run down and broke. funny how the blue states beg and the red threaten to leave…. and only the red states get all the attention.

  • http://sillytroll.com/ Dino2

The big difference between the 94 Contract for Bullshit, which was not a success except in exposing us to cum-stained GAP dresses, and now is the fact that we have just ended a DISASTROUS period of republican/conservative rule.

In 94, republicans had been out of power for decades.

Now the people know why and will not make that mistake again for several generations, until their message of sefishness, greed and fear captivates another generation of spoiled assholes who will suffer for their ignorance as republican voters are doing now.

  • 2Hotel9

And I love the redirect from Osmoron and dinothefakehomo, that was smooth.

Susan Roesgen is shown to be a biased, partisan Democrat Party hack, a fake journalist, as is the anchorette in the thunderthighs pantsuit. Both toeing the Democrat Party line, no thought or journalistic integrity to be found. Joseph Goebbels would be so proud of them!

  • http://sayanythingblog.com/ likwidshoe

    Don’t worry about it, Likwidshoe.

By contrast, I support them underestimating their opposition. America’s tea parties are filled with real Americans, respectful folks who oftentimes are just now finally waking up.

One thing I’d like to point out is the crowds of these tea parties all across America. Notice what you see and what you don’t see.

    What you don’t see:
    1. Upside American flags with rude things written on them.
    2. Obama effigies hanging from a rope.
    3. People dressed up in Obama monkey suits.
    4. “Death to America” signs.
    5. Chants against America and/or chants proclaiming America is evil.

    What you do see:
    1. Proclamations of love for America.
    2. Polite and well written signs with clear messages against big government.
    3. Patriotic songs.

Night and day compared to the “anti-war” protests.

If Oswaldo (vote fraud supporter) and Dino (pedophilia supporter who hates America) want to keep underestimating what is going on here, more power to them. They’ll be among the first ones strung up when the Americans take our country back.

  • 2Hotel9

The problem is this video is out there. Not a damned thing they can do about it.

  • Otheus

CNN has had YouTube pull the video due to “Copyright claim”. Strangely enough, it’s only on THAT video, not the “nice” one. I love it when News organizations are actively engaged in the suppression of speech. Ahem. Try break.com or some other video service.

  • sayanything-4625

In 94, republicans had been out of power for decades.

This kinda throws a monkey wrench to your thirty years of Republican dominance argument. You really don’t think before you post do you Dino? You just write whatever flies into your empty head at the moment!

  • Oswaldo

Let me be clear. The Republican Tea Party sham is absolutely, 100% unadulterated, nonsensical bullshit (pardon my language. And the intelligent people taking part in SAB here know it.

    Dino:

    More drama from Mickey-stem.

    That time of the month?

    He wouldn’t known. Ask Hannah.

I agree with Likwid. You see people worried about what is happening to America, not hating it. You have to be unbalanced to see it otherwise. If you hate a nation, you do precisely what Obama and company are doing and the masses know it. Now wakes their conscience and look at it arise. What is the count of peaceful protests so far compared to the anti-war anti-Bush anti-America protests?

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

Where was this “Republican Tea Party sham”? As far as I can find, this “Republican Tea Party” didn’t exist.

Don’t worry about it, Likwidshoe. The liberals will believe what they want, and its much easier for them to write this off as a “sham” than to confront reality.
