The Scariest Animated National Unemployment Map You’ll See All Day

This map (first posted by Whistler over in the forum) shows rising unemployment rates, by county, from 2007 to September of this year.
It’s scary stuff.
What’s particularly interesting is that the minimum wage hikes started in July of 2007 and have continued through July of this year. So even as businesses have struggled with an economic recession, their labor prices have been inflating thanks to a government mandate.
If you think that hasn’t had an impact on unemployment you’re kidding yourself.

Thanks to Whistler for finding this and you for posting it. This is scarier than anything on Halloween!

It looks like a virus slowing spreading it's way to the upper midwest.

but, but ….the leading indicators are up. Obama has saved us! I notice that as the unemployment goes up, the map gets darker……racist! Why post this? You just hate Obama! I hope it's all Republicans that are unemployed, serves them right, selfish greedy rich loving a-holes.

Notice how the areas with growing unemployment are those who voted for Obama. Karma?

    Never fret!

B.O.'s Healthcare is going to put all of those citizens back to work!

I guess they are all going to be nurses and medical account execs, lol!

One will get to stay as the telepromptor repair person, though.

There is good news on the horizon – experts say constipation will no longer be a problem.

It scares the crap out of everybody to realize Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Geitner, Franks, Dodd and Rangel are responsible for direction the economy is heading. Of course they all have jobs.

Maybe that is the problem – if they were unemployed I bet the economy would turn around.

Anyone notice a connection with the counties with ND highest rates?

    I guess I didn't, no.
