The Scariest Animated National Unemployment Map You’ll See All Day
This map (first posted by Whistler over in the forum) shows rising unemployment rates, by county, from 2007 to September of this year.
It’s scary stuff.
What’s particularly interesting is that the minimum wage hikes started in July of 2007 and have continued through July of this year. So even as businesses have struggled with an economic recession, their labor prices have been inflating thanks to a government mandate.
If you think that hasn’t had an impact on unemployment you’re kidding yourself.
