After all, the Los Angeles area has a population of 25-27 million while "only" 9-10 million live in the Bay Area. Why is it, also, that a majority of the most powerful environmentalists also emenate from that area? Having spent many years living there I'll give you my observations of this conundrum. The area is filled with 35-40ish women, no makeup, long straight hair, with streaks of gray,who drive either Volkswagens, or Volvos. Many are Dykes of course, and most come liberally endowed with crabs, but are quite generous with you, in that regard. They believe weird things, That airplane contrails are a U.S. Government plot. That no Death row inmate ever deserves death and, conversely, that abortion be freely offered to all. They are extremely shrill and prone to call anyone, at anytime, if they think they've been wronged. Therein lies their power. No person can withstand their phone ringing constantly, computers swamped with e-mails, but that's what will happen should you cross these harridans. That's why the things Pelosi does may seem odd to us, but she's simply carrying out the wishes of her constituents. She fears them more than the wrath of the entire U.S. When they demand that Cheney, the CIA, go on trial, and then to jail, for whatever the reason, she must do her best to fulfill their wishes. And they exaggerate their importance. Were you to, foolishly, posit, at tomorrows coffee break, that the Alaskan earthquake of 1964 was larger, more powerful, than the 1989 bay area quake, you'd immediately realize your error. Because these types would, surely, correct you on that score. What they would say of Alaska's leader Sarah Palin would be beyond Rabid. Rule #1 to them is: Nothing is really important if it doesn't happen in and around the Bay Area. And please, don't encourage them by visiting their trough and leaving your money there. Cheers..
