The Palin/Hannity Interview

In case you missed it.

I think she did well, though Hannity is admittedly a much friendlier interviewer for Sarah than Gibson. But I actually feel like we learned more about Palin tonight than we did during the Gibson interview.
Sometimes a good interview isn’t all about being tough on the person being interviewed.
The lemon-face she had on when Hannity told her that both she and McCain supported the bailout of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac tells me that toeing the campaign line is chaffing on her a bit.

    So got that?

    Wall Street: BAD!

    Corporations who invest money: BAD!

    Capital investment: BAD!

OK, now add the modifiers “corrupt” and “irresponsible” in front of those. Ferchrissakes, can your argument be more flaccid.

By your logic, anyone who speaks out against drunk driving is really against the private ownership of automobiles. Typical liberal thought process, devoid of anything resembling logic, and taking the definition of moral equivalence to never before seen heights of stupidity.

    Gun-wielding carjacker = Pheasant hunter
Spray painting government buildings – writing a letter to the editor
Taxing the rich into oblivion to provide services for illegal aliens = voluntary charitable donation through one’s church

  • NoComplaint

If you’re going to sit it out, then you have no right to complain about the outcome.

  • Hannitized

Stunned Americans are beginning to awake from their Palin shock and realize she is nothing more than the talking point queen of the right. She parrots the same BS almost verbatim.

  • JD

Like many other voters – I have problems voting for either major candidate for President. However, I have NO problems identifying a candidate to vote against.

One ticket has two idiots being advised by a gaggle of morons……… the other ticket has two Marxist idiots being advised by a mob of block-headed, pernicious brigands.

    Joel,

If I may, I’d suggest the non-Marxist “idiots” are far more preferable than the radical leftists, if only because they are not of the same party as currently controls Congress. The cost to this nation of allowing Democrats to control both our legislative and executive branches of government, never mind the judicial appointments, would be incalculable.

No worries. America will soon be waking up to the fact that Obama’s an unrepentant Marxist with nothing to offer by way of sound economic policy beyond “I’m going to take rich people’s money and give it to you”.

America will wake up and decide that the man endorsed by the Communist Party USA and the leadership of Hamas (and other assorted world tyrants and dictators) might not be the man we want in the Oval Office.

America will see through the empty rhetoric of a man who believes that complete ban on functional firearms in one’s home constitute a “reasonable restriction” on the Second Amendment, but that providing medical care to living, breathing babies outside the mother’s womb is an unacceptable restriction on the mother’s right to abort that lump of tissue.

Obama’s entire campaign is “McCain=Bush”. It’s a strategy they think will work, based on Bush’s low approval ratings, not realizing that a sizable chunk of the people dissatisfied with the Bush Administration feel that way because of how much Bush and the GOP have drifted away from the basic principles of conservatism, spending taxpayers money like drunken Kennedys.

McCain is going to eat Obama for lunch at the debates.

And, in true Obama fashion, Obama will respond by once again accusing McCain of being a racist and using secret Republican code words to spread his hatred.

Hannity interviewing Palin? What a joke! Anyone with a brain knows what a cynical choice she was for Vice President and Fox news totally shielded her from any serious questioning. Also with the questions asked which were to her benefit, she danced around many of them. Mr Hannity as a journalist never questioned her answers nor did he requestion her to get a more forward clear pointed answer. Mr Hannity was almost drooling at the mouth from the flowing of her voice. Its clear he is a Obama Hater and would follow this lady Gov Palin anywhere (Did you see his dog leash). Hannity and Gov Palin needs to seek to help of the Dog Whisperer. Gov Palin is not a Pack Leader and she needs much more training to be President (yes I said President, because she is now most repulicans ticket back into the White House “Bushville”) and Hannity needs to just sit and roll over because that interview on his part (not her’s) was poor, as a journalist. Mr. Hannity, please wipe the saliva of your tie, she’s married, with children with children, so she already has enough problems. Lets not add our livelihood to her already stressful agenda. I dont want in the end be neglected like her present family! Much like Bush did new orleans n now is trying to fix his f*** ups in Texas now! Its time for Change!!!!!!

On the issue of the quality of the major party candidates in this election cycle: Seeing what happened (and continues to happen) to Governor Palin after she was named the GOP VP nominee – I have to wonder if we will see top-notch people running for elected office, especially national offices, ever again?

  • JD

    Hannitized:

My post was a continuation of the discussion on the poor quality of both of the major candidates for POTUS. To your specific question, I didn’t say I thought she was a top-notch candidate, I wondered if top-notch people would ever run for elected office – given what has happened to her and family since she was nominated. Again, I have to wonder why anyone, especially a top-notch person who almost certainly will have other options, would ever subject themselves (and their families) to the ordeal to which the Palin family has been subjected.

Hannity’s fawning interview of Governor Palin added little to the public discourse in this election.

I had to switch channels. It was insufferable.

Like many other voters – I have problems voting for either major candidate for President. However, I have NO problems identifying a candidate to vote against.

100% in agreement. This is the worst choice for president that I’ve had in my lifetime. I’ll be voting for the lesser of two evils.

One ticket has two idiots being advised by a gaggle of morons……… the other ticket has two Marxist idiots being advised by a mob of block-headed, pernicious brigands.

How come I haven’t seen any new stories about polling on this site lately?

Oh, it must be because the Palin bounce is over and Obama is back ahead.

  • Hannitized

    Sarah Palin exclaims:

Hannity: Who is responsible for these failing institutions in your view?

Palin: I think the corruption on Wall Street! That, that is to blame and that violation of the public trust and that, that contract that should be inherent.

And corporations who are spending and investing other peoples money and the abuse of that is what got to stop. It’s, it’s a matter too of some of the CEO’s and top management people who shareholders too not holding that management accountable.

Being addicted to OPiuM. Other Peoples Money (she learned that from Naughty By Nature). Spending that and investing that, and not using the prudence we expect of them.

    So got that?

    Wall Street: BAD!

    Corporations who invest money: BAD!

    Capital investment: BAD!

Hey she hit a lot of buzzwords, but she didn’t say anything accurate or that made any sense, unless you are a marxist.

  • Hannitized

    JD,

Are you suggesting Palin is a “top-notch” candidate? If so, I would hate to see what you think is not. Scary.

  • nuking

Maybe I’m a fu***** idiot, but explain to me what sitting out the election accomplishes.

  • pparets

Hannity’s fawning interview of Governor Palin added little to the public discourse in this election. O’Reilly would have done a much better job.

what was the story with the democratic lady from colorado who claimed obama had written a bill concerning the fannie mae and freddie mac fiasco. i could not find anything about writing such a bill. this was in response to the fact mccain had co-authored a bill in 2005 which attempted to correct some of the problems at those institutions. i searched the internet and could not find anything on an obama bill. anyone?

  • Johanna Markham

@SaveDaUS: Agreed! There’s some interesting commentary on this blog, NO TIME TO THINK, as well…

  • Hannitized

Rob is not going to vote for McCain, he is just going to spend all his time and every ounce of energy arguing that everyone else should.

That is his logic and existence in a nutshell; Do as I say, not as I do, and don’t question my lack of integrity or dishonesty.

It makes perfect sense why you would not vote for McCain but spend all of your time arguing for the election of John McCain Rob!

You can sit back and not take responsibility when things get bad, even though you are just as guilty as pulling the lever, pushing the button, checking the box or poking the chad.

    You have ZERO integrity pal.

I’ll be sitting this election out.

    Yep.

Not John McCain. Or Barack Obama.

I’ll be sitting this election out.

Heh. Who are you voting for again?

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

How come I haven’t seen any new stories about polling on this site lately?

Because here hasn’t actually been a lot of movement in the polls recently? Nothing on par with McCain’s dramatic shift in to the lead?

Honestly, dumbass, you act like you couldn’t write posts for this site if you wanted to.
