The “One” is Down Ten: Obama Drops in Presidential Approval

…according to Rasmussen!

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Approval Index for Sunday shows that 36% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing as President. Twenty-five percent (25%) Strongly Disapprove to give Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +11.

Just one week ago, it was a slightly different story:

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern.
One week ago today, 44% Strongly Approved and 23% Strongly Disapproved to give Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +21.

The honeymoon is now officially over!

    Obama = catastrophic failure.

At least Jimmy Carter can go to his grave knowing he wont be considered the biggest loser president.

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

But not as long as you’ve been brain dead, Dino!

  • http://www.dartemis.net/blog/ sayanything-42

    Proof,

Indeed! And the Reagan administration first got inflation under control, and then saw the trailing indicator of unemployment turn around as well.

  • http://www.dartemis.net/blog/ sayanything-42

    No.

Perhaps someone could tell us why they consider Carter a failure? Then maybe you can tell us what his predecessor was like? Tell us about the back-to-back recession in the 70s prior to Carter taking office. Then tell us what was unique about the republican who was elected before Carter. What kind of situation existed in the economy when Carter took office?

Give us some data on unemployment under Carter. Things like that. Perhaps something about his budgets and where things were after him, say, during Reagan. Data, people, we need data.

Then tell us why no republican President has even received a Nobel Prize. Tell us, in 1000 words or less, why you think Bush will be remembered as better than Carter. Be specific.

Find a grade schooler reasonably proficient on the computer and Google “Misery Index“.

The misery index is an economic indicator, created by economist Arthur Okun, and found by adding the unemployment rate to the inflation rate.

During the Presidential campaign of 1976, Democratic candidate Jimmy Carter made frequent references to the Misery Index, which by the summer of 1976 was at 13.57%. Carter stated that no man responsible for giving a country a misery index that high had a right to even ask to be President. Carter won the 1976 election. However, by 1980, when President Carter was running for re-election against Ronald Reagan, the Misery Index had reached an all-time high of 21.98%. Carter lost the election to Reagan.

This should not be a surprise or a shock to the ones who did not support B.O. However, will the blind followers who stumbled all over themselves wake up to admit they really screwed up?

  • dfwpike

Obama’s approval rating will continue to go down. Fantasy and reality are two different things and reality wins out every time. The honeymoon is over.

  • docdave

The media is already in the tank and dying. They’re sort of like ‘dead men walking’. Soon there will be more Star Tribune bankrupcies.

An interesting side note is the Dallas Morning News daily newspaper has shrunk so much in size that its barely more than a small local paper.

At least Jimmy Carter can go to his grave knowing he wont be considered the biggest loser president.

Amen to that! Bush has reserved that spot in history.

Amen..I am glad you didnt call them “sheep” because the sheep can at least “smell” when a wolf is around.

Once the American public realizes there is nothing to the NOBAMA persona his approval rating will be much lower, the man has no experience and sounds like a playground bully when we hear him say stupid things I won. What are you 8 years old. Give me a fucking break. NOBAMA is going to make the anti Semite Carter look presidential.

    Can Presidents vote “present?”

  • eneils Bailey

    Yeah,
    The honeymoon is over.
That’s when you realize the pussy isn’t free.

The question is “Is Obama’s presidency going to mirror his do nothing legislative (both federal and state) career.”

Considering all angles, we’d be damn lucky if it did.

  • http://www.dartemis.net/blog/ sayanything-42

    Yep.

  • http://insanereindeer.blogspot.com/ Kenny

Amen to that! Bush has reserved that spot in history.

Anyone who thinks Bush is the worst President ver is a moron.

Hell, he’s not even the worst President Bush ever.

Ridiculous. And now these same children run our goverment.

    Say Proof,

I see when you have the data and proof down, there is’nt any come back from demo or hazardtized.

    Tipical dem-fem’s.
    F.Y.I.:

$600 million, an African American/ethnic heritage trail in Mississippi

To increase “transparency and oversight,” the bill calls on local, state and federal agencies to announce the terms of certain contracts and grants on a new Web site called Recovery.gov. Oversight efforts would be guided by an “accountability and transparency board” composed of six members appointed by Obama, along with the president’s “chief performance officer.”

The nominee for the performance officer post, Nancy Killefer, withdrew last week after acknowledging she did not pay taxes for household help.

There is only one President of either party who received both a Medal of Honor and a the Nobel Peace Prize.

When last I checked, Teddy Roosevelt was a Republican.

When it comes down to the media, Barrack Obamalama is too big to fail. They’re going to go down with him.

  • FlyOnTheWall

    Can Presidents vote “present?”

I’m guessing the Big O didn’t do his homework on the job otherwise he would have figured out his favorite bennie didn’t exist with this office.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/america_is_back/#c397018 DINO

What comeback would you like? That we thought Obama could sustain superstar status forever? Are you kidding?

I realize that 48% didn’t vote for him. Some people need to be in severe pain before they see the light. The best conversion technique for a recalcitrant conservative is a good dose of unemployment.

As for facts, well, Proof, you know. What does bate mean?

Then tell us why no republican President has even received a Nobel Prize.

    The Nobel Prize is bullshit.

Al Gore won the nobel prize for An Inconvenient Truth.

    …The competition?

A woman who smuggled twenty-five hundred children out of Nazi Germany, in backpacks, sewers, under her dress, any way she could. Meticulously recording names and addresses to reunite the children with their parents after the war. The woman was captured, sentenced to death by firing squad, and miraculously escaped due to a bribed guard.

    …give me a fucking break.

Yeah and he’s been President since 2006, right Proof?
