The Most Ignorant Thing Harry Reid Has Said Since “The War Is Lost”

Apparently tasked with the job of doing something really stupid to distract from Obama’s personal three ring circus (Rezko and Wright and bitter Pennsylvanians, oh my!), Harry Reid opens his mouth so sound the alarm about...Sunnis coming back to power in Iraq!

The ironic thing is that the Sunnis rising in power in the Shiite-dominated Iraq is a sign of political progress. Instead of being ostracized by the Shiite majority they are being brought into the fold of the Iraqi government. And while that’s causing tension in the short term, in the long run it’s what we want.

Exit question: Should Reid really be talking about the lack of political progress in Iraq when the Iraqi parliament has undoubtedly passed more policy this year than the Democrat-controlled Congress?

The Democratically controlled Congress, with the agreement of the Bush administration agreed to benchmarks for Iraq. They included:

* Reaching out to the Sunnis by reopening talks on the Iraqi Constitution.
* Passing a new oil law.
* Reversing the purge of former Baathists from Iraqi politics and government employment
* Dismantling sectarian Shi’ite militias.

Harry Reid should be aware of this. If he can’t recall or is not aware of this Congressional action then he should be removed from his leadership position as he is clearly not fit to serve any longer.

I am NOT a violent person, not a bit, but if I could go up and punch Reid or Pelosi in the face and get away with it? Oh yeah, I would put everything I have into it. I have never in my 40 years had anyone in politics just rub me the wrong way like those two buffoons. (keeping in mind I was only 12 when Carter left office). These two, more than any other person in politics (okay, maybe senile douche bag Murtha) make me sick to my stomach. They would literally do anything to hold power, it’s their ONLY goal...us commoners are ignored. The good news is that the Democrat leadership is OLD, we’ll see what happens in the next four years. As I tell my democrat friends, there are more of us than there are of you. Case in point? 2000, 2004, and of course 2008. (I think we’ll have majority in Congress by 2010 too). The “liberal bird” will be extinct soon...thank God for common sense.

Geez! Reid and Pelosi are becoming more weird each day. America’s enemy within: Reid, Pelosi, Murtha, Levin, Durbin, Kennedy, Kerry. Someday some homecoming GI will recognize who the real enemy is and the problem will be solved. They make me want to vomit all over them. My mama taught me self control but I think it is slipping. Sorry, Mama!
