I’m going to say that he has no clue and that his computer was taken over by a botnet. In other words, he’s probably an innocent victim. This sort of thing happens to every single Windows computer that isn’t locked down. I’ve personally rescued quite a few of my own family members’ computers from this scourge. It doesn’t take long before a network finds and then tags your computer with a trojan that allows one spammer to control tens, hundreds, even thousands of machines. The cracker will then either sell the botnet to the highest bidder (usually a spammer) or send instructions to the botnet army telling the computers to send out spam.

There’s plenty of ammo to beat the guy over the head with. This isn’t one of them.

Not relevant, for two reasons. Primarily, being celibate is an individual choice, not imposed on priests by some all-encompassing totalitarian religion. Let’s put the blame where it belongs, not on the Catholic Church; they were just being “tolerant” and “multicultural”.
