The Quran commands all good Muslims to convert the world to Islam by force through acts of violence and you know it! I could offer numerous quotations from your own holy book, but try these:

Neiman - the easiest way to find your own IP address (without getting technical) is simply to go to WhatIsMyIP.com. Take that IP and simply plug it into Google. If you were to get a Project Honeypot detection, it would most likely be the first result.

Most people are victims of this kind of crap. More than likely, mahamad baba’s computer was commandeered without his knowledge or permission and is being used to send out spam for someone else’s benefit. Probably some pimply faced Russian kid for all we know. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt with this. Most people are not spammers. We’re all victims of it.

I find it more than a bit ironic that mahamad baba is serving up the very porn (not safe for work; that IS a porn site) that he is decrying here.

I’m going to say that he has no clue and that his computer was taken over by a botnet. In other words, he’s probably an innocent victim. This sort of thing happens to every single Windows computer that isn’t locked down. I’ve personally rescued quite a few of my own family members’ computers from this scourge. It doesn’t take long before a network finds and then tags your computer with a trojan that allows one spammer to control tens, hundreds, even thousands of machines. The cracker will then either sell the botnet to the highest bidder (usually a spammer) or send instructions to the botnet army telling the computers to send out spam.

There’s plenty of ammo to beat the guy over the head with. This isn’t one of them.

It is a funny irony though, isn’t it? It’s beautiful the way it worked out.

Lik: I want to see serious prison sentences for all people involved in such practices and for those deliberately infecting our computers with a virus: While I want to be civilized and refrain from calling for the death penalty, maybe public caning, 1-10 strokes each, by every computer owner that suffered would get the job done. Seriously, just recently I had a virus warning, like an idiot I was angry and downloaded the virus removal program for $49.00, which only added another virus. Only to find out this is a scam, there never was a virus until I downloaded the removal tool. So, for the third time this year I erased my hard drive and reinstalled everything.

I used to play a game to see how much expensive software I could stuff onto my computer for free. A 7 thousand dollar program here (I see is now less than half of that), another 7 thousand dollar program there, a three and a half grand one over there, an eleven thousand dollar one there, and pretty soon I was into the tens of thousands of dollars worth of software that I was never logically going to use.

Pay for an Internet. The information on it is free.

I have paid for all software on all 3 of our computers. As far as I know updates are included in the purchase price. Am I wrong? Should I be worried about some scumbag lawyer asshole suing me?

As for mahamad baba, I hope he’s read this and is taking steps to clean out his computer. Maybe he’s noticed that his computer is slower and that his Internet connection has been spotty. The trojan horse that has taken his computer over for spam would be the answer as to why that has happened. I sincerely wish him luck in fixing that.

Thanks, I’ve heard some horror stories about this sort of thing. Lawyerscum are quite the menace to real humans living their lives. We have tried to keep all our machines legit.

I kind of figure that the massive silence from baba indicates either a shutdown of its computers or an admission of guilt for spamming. I have had a couple of incidents of zombying my laptop, though none recently. If you see such indications from me or Wifey’s computers please give a yell! We been trying to keep on top of security, but it is an ongoing battle.
