The Great Seal of the Pretentious Elite

Barack “I have delusions that I’m already the President” Obama had the following symbol before him at a recent meeting with Democratic governors:

obama seal

Vero Possumus”, a faux Latin rendering for “Yes, we can” as its motto, the Great Seal of Obama screams pretentious narcissism.

But, the folks here at Say Anything are a pretty creative group, so here’s your chance to come up with your own motto: What would you suggest for Obama’s Trained, er, Great Seal?

(Extra points for pretentious Latin phrases!)

To get you started, here’s mine: “Praetensa Maximus”  What’s yours?

Cross Posted at Proof Positive

Mickey Kaus over at Slate had this to say:

Is Obama’s new faux-presidential, alternative-reality seal his “Mission Accomplished”? If you wanted to emphasize to voters that the Democrats’ nominee is a bit stuck up, it would be hard to do better. I suppose he could start requiring reporters to stand when he enters the room.

Does this tick you off? Click here to email your elected representatives right here on Say Anything, or comment below.

I saw this last night. I think the Messiah might want to see how the election takes place before he declares himself president.

I saw this somewhere else: “Audacity of Hubris”

Fits perfectly. Obama has an acute case of narcissism.

Obama- All Style, No Substance

It’s all political bullshit. Liberals (and Robert108) lie and spin and twist and obscure and distract and cheat to protect their guys and hurt the opposing team. It’s like wrestling. They distract the ref while their team mate hits you with a chair. There’s no rule they won’t break, no law they won’t skirt, no crime they won’t forgive as long as they can win.

“Yes, we can” grow the government.

Well no shit, Barack. That part is easy.

Truth???

The truth is that party of Entitlement has chosen as its nominee a rookie Senator with no experience at anything, who along with his wife feels that they are “entitled” to be president and first lady.

It is the triumph of style over substance, fluff over fundamentals, and platitudes over policy.

Barack Obama is a US Senator only because some corrupt Cook County hack was paid to release the divorce records of two other candidates which had been sealed by court order.

Puzzle, you’ll notice that Republicans tend to turn on their own when they get nabbed in a scandal.  I, personally, called for the resignation of both Vitter and Larry Craig.

Meanwhile, Democrats closed ranks around Bill Clinton and his various sexual escapades.  That’s telling.

Not that I’m going to argue that Republicans have any sort of a monopoly on integrity.  Personally, I think most politicians are integrity-challenged thugs.  Which is why I support limiting the power and scope of government as opposed to you who favors a never-ending expansion of it.

The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.

Just who do you think you’re agreeing with here?

“Family values” doesn’t mean what you believe it means. It doesn’t mean rallying around the support of any Democrat.
