The Experts Were Wrong Once Again

It seems that the ‘experts” were wrong again.  Every year the news media makes some wild predictions about the Christmas shopping season and they get it wrong.

Yesterday sales were up at 8.3% across a number of retailers. Look for the media to continue to try to talk down the economy.

Weren’t they doing the same thing last year?  Gloom and Doom.  The fact is that sales grew a very healthy 4.8%.  This year the gloom and doom numbers their predicting (and we’ll likely surpass are at 3.6%.)

Come-on you can’t portray 3.6% growth as poor?  And anyway why does the media constantly run with these stories.  They’re often wrong, but even if they weren’t, it’s not news.

Comments

I can explain it. In song.
Ding dong
The sales are dead
The sales are dead

Ding dong, the wicked sales are DEAD!

Hint: They’re not experts; they are lefties who are ignorant about economics.  They speak propaganda, and nothing else.

Being an avid player of the stock market, I have often wondered who these “experts” are that come up with what the numbers are supposed to be since they are not only “wrong” usually, but often “wildly” wrong.

Hillary Clinton said in a speech the other day that we are in a worse conomy than the great depression.  4% growth for last 2 quarters, record low unemployment, low inflation, low interest rates, outstanding stock market, and individual incomes rising at record levels (despite 2 wars, the credit meltdown and umpteen hurricanes) ands she says that is “worse than the great depression”?

The truth means NOTHING to these people.

The basic gist I am getting about this out in the MSM is as follows:

“Sales were unexpectedly strong considering the horrible economy.  But don’t worry, they will get worse...”

My one question:  Where the hell is Bush doing a new conference just to explain in words and graphs the average American idiot can understand just how good the economy is?

IMHO. The great failing of the Bush Admin is his HORRIFIC public relations.

Agreed, they need to use facts to dispel the lies.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

How is this possible in a George Bush economy?

Kevin on November 25, 2007 at 09:32 am

Just to keep things in proper perspective, if the Democrats take control of the White House and both Houses of Congress next years, and of course, raise taxes as they’ve promised (they are Democrats, after all!), a mere 3.6% rate of growth in any sector of the economy is going to look awfully, awfully appealing.

Democrats, and a number of their mainstream media allies, would have us believe that we are currently in a recession… which just goes to show how truly ignorant these people are, and how truly stupid they believe the rest of us to be.

It is a well known fact that Democrats simply cannot be trusted to effectively defend our country and its national interests.  But there is every reason to say the same for our economic well-being as well.  Taking more and more of our wealth out of productive and profitable private use and forcefully appropriating it to the inefficient and unproductive use of government is NOT a formula for economic growth national prosperity.

The Democrats will continue their kies about the economy even if we were to each get a million dollars from the government. Their entire thought is to promote ‘goom and doom,’ while plotting to raise our taxes.
When will the Independent and Midddle Democrats learn this? Before it is too late...I pray!

From what little is being listed now, online sales did just as well as Black Friday. Damned BushCo economy!

Since constantly downtalking the economy tends to suppress it, imagine how well we would be doing if the MSM had been telling the truth all along, instead of spewing their destructive propaganda.
What’s good for the US is bad for the lefties.
