The EPA Would Like To Regulate Your Lawnmower Usage

Among other things.

Last Friday the EPA issued an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPR) that would impose a number of unthinkable regulations on the economy and everyday life. One of many is regulation the emissions of a lawnmower. This would require the agency to create different regulations and units of emissions requirements for each gadget that pollutes.

Perhaps more troubling than the fact that the EPA is doing this (I don’t think our founders had “regulation of lawn work” in mind when they set up our federalist system of government) is the fact that the unelected bureaucrats at the agency are the ones coming up with these rules.

So much for the consent of the governed.

I think that in order to enforce these mandates, they ned to just take over mowing all the lawns in America.  That will also cut down on the jobs for illegal aliens.

I like to provide those win-win solutions.

I am a bit weary of various departments within the government getting involved in proposing new laws. While their advice in Congressional hearings should be considered, it is not, IMO, their job to proposae new laws, only enforce those within their area of authority. We have enough fools writing too many laws as it is!

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

Of course, we’ll certainly need to be Taxed more, to pay for these new Lawnmower Regulators. Thank you sir, may I have another?....

Briggs & Stratton developed a catalytic convertor for a small engine application in the 80’s.
It may be time to add some B&S stock to the portfolio

Aren’t all these new rules mandated by the Supreme court telling them to consider carbon doxide a pollutant?

BBQ grills are also in their sights.

May be they want to regulate how much methane I discharge daily.
