The Election Simplified
Oliver Willis (via Right on Red) has narrowed the election down to one issue. Either you’re for the Abu Ghraib prison abuse or you’re against it. He has this photo posted in way of evidence.

Really, I expect more than this from somebody who is supposed to be a professional blogger. Clearly the Bush administration was not behind the Abu Ghraib prison abuses. Those crimes were perpetrated by a small number of immature and inadequately trained soldiers. Those soldiers have now been appropriately punished and steps have been taken to ensure that such things won’t happen again.
To imply that they will continue to happen should the current administration be re-elected is a blatant slap in the face to the men and women serving overseas. I, for one, take it for granted that situations like Abu Ghraib are the exception and not the rule in regard to our military’s behavior while executing foreign operations. Oliver Willis, as is apparent, does not. His lack of faith in our soldiers is nothing less than disturbing.
Using the prison abuse photos is a sad attempt by a desperate partisan hoping to shock voters away from voting for an incumbent. Sadly, as this election draws to a close, I think we’re going to see more and more pathetic displays of desperation like this. Tags: General
