The Deranged Lou Dobbs

Put this guy in a padded room:

The “Lou Dobbs Tonight” host placed the blame for the recent salmonella outbreak squarely on President George W. Bush, calling for his impeachment on the June 19 broadcast. Contaminated tomatoes from an unknown source or sources have sickened 383 people since April, according to the Associated Press.

Let’s see 383 bad tomatoes is cause for impeachment.

I think the FDA should be examining what’s going into the drinking water in CNN.

Perhaps. Perhaps the FCC should be reviewing the broadcasting licenses of several news networks as well.

No impeachment for the wholesale slaughter of men, women and children at Waco, but impeachment for bad tomatoes?  Even for the MSM, that’s a blatant double standard.  Of course, it’s pure BDS.

Here’s a SWAG (Scientific Wild-ass Guess)

Many of the previous food-poisoning scares were either traced back to Mexico itself or US-based farms or plants who utilized immigrant labor.

Evidently the working conditions did not include porta-potties and places to wash your hands after you do your business.  Fecal matter gets involved with American food, whether you are talking about spinach, school lunch strawberries or Taco Bell.

My guess is that the usual suspects should be rounded up.  That being the case, the investigations may well be hampered, since the findings will be Politically-incorrect damnations of the McCain / Obama / Bush immigration / path to citizenship model.

This is what happens when the Powers-that-be place their personal ambitions and benefits above that of the welfare of the people and nation they were elected to serve.

Contemptible.

Contamination traced to Salinas Valley

The three successive outbreaks, all of which have run their course, also raise questions about what is causing them to occur with such frequency, said Trevor Suslow, a UC Davis food pathologist.

“The fact that it seems to be happening even more frequently, in a more compressed time frame, one would have to speculate something is either being missed or something has changed to elevate the level of risk or potential of contamination,” Suslow said.

Fed disclosure—keeping us informed and safe

State and federal officials have steadfastly refused to identify which farms they are investigating. Investigators say fresh produce is no longer being grown on any of the four remaining fields that grew spinach linked to the outbreak.
