The Code Pink Obama Connection

From the video:
“Black people weren’t considered whole people”

Spoken like someone who doesn’t understand that it was the anti-slavery forces that insisted on that, so that slave owning states would not be over represented in the new government.

It was people like us, in the past, that stood up to make this Constitution real!

Yep! Silly women in pink tiaras…that’s the way I remember my American history! /sarcasm
At 1:07, she calls the Iraq war “un-winnable”. (Yeah! She gets other stuff wrong, too!)
How far Left is Code Pink? She says that “Centrist” means to be a “war monger”.

“Last night Code Pink Co-Founder Jody Evans was at a Hollywood Bash for Barack Obama and it was pretty interesting because uh there was uh Jody going up to get her picture taken with Barack Obama… So, Jody went up to shake his hand and the first thing he said to her without her saying anything is “I know you Jody and Code Pink and I know that you want me to end this war and bring all the troops home and I’m going to do that.”

(Jody Evans being the fruit loop who tried to rush the stage at the Republican convention)
She says she wants her message to reverberate. I’m sure in does! In the hollow canyons of her head! Barack knows these people by name. Accepts their money and panders to their leftist, antiwar notions. Does Barack share their view that Centrist equals war monger? Or is he just exploiting them for their votes and cash?

OK, moron; the non-slave States. Your semantic nit-pick doesn’t change the truth. The North wanted them not counted, and the South wanted them counted as full people. The compromise was 3/5ths of a person for census purposes only.

  • robert108

The south only argued for blacks to be counted as a rhetorical tool, to alarm the northerners, most of whom were just as bigoted as the south.

Wrong again! The North, having more cities and a greater population density, was poised to have a permanent ruling majority in the Federal Govt, in violation of the Tenth Amendment by fiat. The South wanted the slaves fully counted to maintain their representation in the House of Representatives, which is determined by population. It’s basic American Govt, Sparkie.

    robert108:

Code Pink baby-killers are now claiming to be “pro-life” because they are against war(except for the war against America, that is).

Excellent. They are complicit in killing about one million babies annually. The few who are killed while in the families of terrorists are indeed tragic, but their parents are at fault, just like the parent(s) are at fault for murdering their children as they are born.

These pink people have chosen the right color to correspond with their communist ideology.

I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated …I’ve already said it has succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.”

So what exactly is Obama trying to say
We anticipated to lose? We planned to fail?Last I checked the surge worked as it was PLANNED and turned the tide in Iraq.

Whats his problem show some respect and admit when your wrong. Is his ego really that big?

    Proof

She says she wants her message to reverberate. I’m sure in does! In the hollow canyons of her head! Barack knows these people by name. Hollow canyons of their head – I love that one!

    B. Hussein Obama is one of them in his own right…he’s just smoother and politically smart enough to try to fool his captive audience into thinking he loves America and is a Christian.

He’s anti-American to the core and so is his wife. Their brand of Christianity is “Black Liberation Theology!” and their platform is Socialism with a smilie face and charismatic rhetoric.

These anti-American trolls may be the loudest and may draw a lot of attention from the liberal press…but they are the minority of this great Nation. And not all Democrats have been deceived!

There is a silent majority who welds the power in elections and many even on the Democratic side don’t trust BHO…and behind the sacred privacy of the voting booth, where their Democratic friends can’t see, they’ll be placing their vote for McCain/Palin. I know several Democrats personally who have told me privately they are crossing the isle this November because they so distrust Obama.

Polls are skewered by the liberals to try and manipulate the masses…Political pundits spin on the nightly news, but they cannot control the private citizens in that voting booth!

    I predict a land-slide victory for McCain/Palin this November!

Ben Franklin, was a Beer lover..
Think I need a few now. My eyes hurt.

I apologize, Jerry! Were I there, I’d stand you to a round!

  • robert108

Spoken like someone who doesn’t understand that it was the anti-slavery forces that insisted on that, so that slave owning states would not be over represented in the new government.

A common misconception; the “free” States didn’t want the slaves to be counted at all; in other words, they wanted them ignored as people. The slave states wanted them counted as full citizens, and the compromise was to count them as 3/5ths of a person, for census purposes only.

Code Pink is apparently ignorant of American History.

  • robert108

    Such statements are indefensible.

The truth needs no defense. Your boy unwittingly told the truth about what he really is, and you and your lying leftie pals are now desperately trying to distract from that fact.
    Pathetic.

Oswaldo: You miss the point. It’s not a question of whether the candidates love their country. It’s a question of whether party comes before love of country.

When Barack Obama stubbornly refuses to admit that the surge worked, he is putting partisan politics ahead of his love of country.

    It’s a character thing…

  • Jerry

Someone else said it. Now, I must concur..
Man, are those ugly women, or what?
How long would a guy last with all that whining and karping?
Ben Franklin, was a Beer lover..
Think I need a few now.
    My eyes hurt.

This is only a little strange…

  • pparets

Arfuckle may have just committed the most blatantly egregiuos re-write of American history ever committed; an act which only begs the question: Why is Vermont’s minority population among the smallest in the nation? – .05 African-American!

  • Oswaldo

    pparets, regarding what you say:

Oswaldo: You miss the point. It’s not a question of whether the candidates love their country. It’s a question of whether party comes before love of country.

pp, with all due respect, I did not miss the point. It is not at all a question of whether party comes before country. We are talking specifically about what JazzyKat said. His point was clear. He says flatly that Obama is lying when he says he loves America or is a Christian:

    B. Hussein Obama is one of them in his own right…he’s just smoother and politically smart enough to try to fool his captive audience into thinking he loves America and is a Christian

    Such statements are indefensible.

As regards the surge, you say:

When Barack Obama stubbornly refuses to admit that the surge worked, he is putting partisan politics ahead of his love of country

    Here is what Obama said:

“I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated …I’ve already said it has succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.”

In any case, whatever he or McCain thinks about the surge or about any other issue should not call into question their love of our country. Both McCain and Obama had the decency to show mutual respect during their addresses. Those were truly American gestures and should inspire us all.

robert108, thanks for pardoning my ignorance.

  • robert108

A favorite propaganda technique of the left is to claim to support American values, while actually undermining them. These Code Pink baby-killers are now claiming to be “pro-life” because they are against war(except for the war against America, that is).

  • Bat One

No, maybe you are ignorant of American history. The only ‘free’ state was Vermont, who abolished slavery when they became their own country and penned their constitution.

    Pffft! More “Geocentrism”???

The Dred Scott decision didn’t apply to Vermont? More nonsense.

  • robert108

Os: Here’s the difference: Your statement number one is true, while your statement number two is false. You can’t just transpose words and expect the reality to be the same.
The facts say otherwise. Of course, in the morally relative leftie world, there is no truth, so you can be excused for being ignorant of the reality here.

  • Oswaldo

    B. Hussein Obama is one of them in his own right…he’s just smoother and politically smart enough to try to fool his captive audience into thinking he loves America and is a Christian.

It’s impossible to have a decent debate, if we don’t keep things on a more intelligent and loftier level.

That statement about Obama is just as preposterous and indecent as saying:

McCain is one of them in his own right…he’s just smoother and politically smart enough to try to fool his captive audience into thinking he loves America and is a Christian.

What’s the point of having this debate if it is undermined by the premise that either of the candidates does not love America.

No, maybe you are ignorant of American history. The only ‘free’ state was Vermont, who abolished slavery when they became their own country and penned their constitution. This predated the US banning it by 75-100 years. The only bona fide abolitionists, besides a few well known ones, in the north were in Vermont. Most other states fought that war for monetary or political reasons, not coming down on the ethically correct side of the issue. Vermont stood alone in that respect out of all the states.

The south only argued for blacks to be counted as a rhetorical tool, to alarm the northerners, most of whom were just as bigoted as the south.
