The Bottom Line On The Hacked Emails: The “Climate Change Consensus” Has Been Discredited

So says the Heartland Institute in their summary of the scandal now rocking the “green” movement:

Emails exchanged by Phil Jones (director of the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit) and other leading scientists who edit and control the content of the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reveal a conspiracy to falsify the actual temperature record and silence so-called “skeptics.” Anyone who continues to cite the IPCC as representing the “consensus” on global warming is wrong. The IPCC has been totally discredited.

Remember: The IPCC was the group that, along with Al Gore, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 “for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.”
My question is: When are some people going to jail for this global fraud? There has been a lot of wealth and liberty seized by the government in the name of protecting us against this supposed threat.
When are those things given back? Perhaps never, unfortunately. As John Adams said, “Liberty, once lost, is gone forever.”

The beautiful thing about the emails is this takes it firmly out of the provence of science. Nobody can argue whether the Team adjusted their graphs to show warming when their proxies had declining values. (Following what they did is a bit harder…)

Narratives everybody can parse. That’s what is really significant about this. You no longer have to have a Ph.D. thesis in physics for example to spot when they are playing tricks. You can see them going back and forth on these games, using plain old English.

The MSM in the USA isn’t touching this. The only news outlets that I can find mentioning this is the Herald Sun articles by Andrew Bolt and and article posted on KDKA in Pittsburgh that looks like it is from CBS broadcasting in NYC. This shows how complicit the MSM is in the frauds perpetrated on us by liberals. This global warming crap is their substitute for religion so this shakes their faith. But is is getting out since a lot of people don’t get their news from the MSM anymore since it can’t be trusted.

MPLSBOB made a very good observation. There is no real investigative journalism anymore. The MSM is composed of fully indoctrinated propagandists for the left. And the MSM can’t figure out why they are going broke.

It was not a hack. I am sure of it at this point.

It coincides with the “decision” by the FOI officer at East Anglia to deny Steve McIntyre’s FOI request.

I say decision in quotes (sure to confuse Lioncourt), because it is clear from the emails that the fix was in from the start. The FOI officer would ensure that McIntyre receive none of Phil Jone’s private data set.

He says “forget the screening, forget asking them about their last publication (most will ignore you.) Get those names.

NERC is the North American Reliability Corporation. I always hear how oil companies supply money to global warming sceptics. I guess this is the same except for proponents of the AGW myth/scam.
