The Big Day Is Upon Us

As you’re reading this my wife and I are in the hospital so that labor can be induced to end her pregnancy and bring us our second little girl.

Since my wife apparently isn’t going to let me live blog the festivities (guess I shouldn’t have wasted my time with that nice Valentine’s Day Present), I’m probably going to be offline for at least the next couple of days.  I may be online here and there, but not much.

In the mean time I’m sure Ken, Bat, Pilgrim and The Whistler will keep the blog lively on the front page and that the reader blogs will undoubtedly remain as lively as ever.  If you don’t already have a reader blog, sign up for one and start posting today.

07:30, by this point I hope everything has come out alright! Wifey was in labor for 28 hours, hopefully Miz Rob won’t have that to go through.

Congrats!!!!

Congratulation, I hope it’s a democrat!

I can’t believe you considered live blogging the event.

Best of luck, I hope she turns out to look like her mother.

Best wishes to, you, Jess, and of course your new daughter.  Oh, and let’s not forget Carol, too!

We’ll try to take up some of the slack in you absence.

Naturally, she’ll be born a Democrat!
But with a little education and a healthy mind, she’ll be weaned and a Republican in no time!

Those who think the party or the country, will be “taught a lesson” by handing the levers of power over to the liberals will learn a lesson, but it will be at the expense of our country and her liberties. And there are no guarantees that the party or the country will come out stronger, more conservative or better positioned to win elections against the incumbent liberals.

Congrats Rob!!!

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

May God Bless this new life and deliver to us a healthy and happy soul.

And here’s to hoping that Jess doesn’t experience too much pain.

Good luck and congratulations Rob and Jess.

LOL, you da man!
I always said I could walk the 40 miles to the nearest hospital to have my kids and still not deliver for several more hours. All my kids were 30+ hours of labor (but don’t tell that to Jess). In my case maybe it’s just the fact that 10 pound babies aren’t in any rush to make an appearance.
BTW… Rob, Jess doesn’t really mean those nasty mean things she’d saying to you right about now. LOL.. dang, I’m so glad it’s her and not me

Jess was awesome.  She was a real trooper.  She thinks she was a wuss… but she wasn’t.  She was smiling until the end (except for two or three tears.) She and Rob are terrific parents already and will only get better.  WE ARE HAPPY grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
