The Bakken On Google

According to Google Trends, interest in North Dakota’s Bakken Formation is spiking.  At least on the internet.

North Dakota is sitting on a gold mine, I think, and we need wise political leadership to guide us through these times.  And by “wise” I don’t mean leadership that keeps taxes high and spends tax revenues as fast as they come in.

I agree rob.  Drilling for oil here will be a great boom for North Dakota.  Also, our republican party needs to quit spending like democrats, even if it is “for the children.”

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

Rob, good article! Yes, the Bakken is one of the biggest opportunities and challenges the state of ND has ever faced. And yes, we need leadership with vision and courage to guide our legislature and people through these times. I will agree that some tax relief is in order, but--always a but--we have significant money in the treasury and this is the time to invest in lasting industry and business that will diversify our state’s economy. I have written several articles on this subject over the past year, and I have written and met with some of our leadership about this opportunity. They listen, but I don’t see the leadership and courage that will bring us into this brave new future.

The Democrats will complain about the supply while blocking the supply.

They will never recognize the disconnect.

Good luck, North Dakota. You guys are infected with liberal blindness and it will be an uphill battle.

$ in their eyes, politicians always screw up.  Clearing the way for a large refinery in ND would be a good start. About the time it is completed Bakken ought to be pumping. And keep the damned ethanol away from it! Corn is food.
