The Anti-Dixie Chick

From Blackfive:

Seawitch sends this awesome video of Aussie lass Beccy Cole who is singing “Poster Girl” in response to some of her fans who disagree with her supporting the Diggers, the Australian soldiers fighting in The Long War.

Here’s the video:

The music ain’t my cup of tea, but the sentiment on display is heart wrenching.
If only we had someone in the American entertainment industry capable of taking this kind of a stand.

“And I admire the burning fire that causes you to fight.
I only wish the wrong side of the world, had the same right.”

Compare that to the pathetic whining of the Dixie-chicks. This lady has class. I’m now a fan. She makes me want to be Australian.

    I love Patriotism.

That is a very good song. I think it would actually sound amazing acoustic…..

I’ve always been rather partial to the Aussies, I like them down there. It makes me glad to know they are our most staunch ally in the world and they have this type of message in their pop culture. Awesome.

I’m a fan! And I’m putting my money where my mouth is.
…I bought Toby Keith CDs after the Ditsy Chicks dissed him. I stocked up on Danish ham when the Danes were being boycotted for exercising their freedom of speech. Last night I went on Amazon and bought two Beccy Cole CDs.

The Dixie Chicks are a trio headed by a nasally singer and 2 great fiddle players. America used to be a meritocracy. The Grammy’s highlight that the politicos have infiltrated every facet of American life and every institution. If the American public had a vote, the Chicks would not have had one nomination.
    Shame on the Grammy’s

Who in the hell voted for the Dixie Chicks at the grammys… I mean, has ANYBODY heard anything they have written in 2006!

What the hell is the music world coming to!
