Thanks Fracking: America Sees Recorded Increases In Oil And Gas Reserves

If you’re wondering why those on the left are working so hard to silence political speech by those in the energy industry (see what’s happening here in North Dakota) this is why. After decades of “peak oil” nonsense being used as justification for pumping unholy amounts of tax dollars into green energy schemes, America has opened up entire new oceans of oil and gas reserves thanks to advances in technology and techniques like fracking.

From Mark Perry, who has more details:

Keep in mind that this nationwide energy boom is about more than just oil and gas industry jobs. It’s about lower energy prices which are already saving Americans billions on their utility bills. And, talking about the gas boom specifically, we’re even seeing a shift to cleaner sources of energy with cheap, plentiful, reliable and cleaner natural gas replacing coal plants.

America recently put up the largest decline in carbon emissions in the world. It wasn’t solar panels or wind turbines which made that happen. It wasn’t some set of new environmental standards passed by Congress. It wasn’t the green activism of Al Gore or anyone else.

It was hydraulic fracturing and other improvements in the fossil fuel industry. Which is why the greenies are so intent on banning fracking. Not because it’s actually dangerous, but because it undermines the arguments they’ve been making about oil and gas for decades.
