Ted Kennedy On Abu Ghraib

Just for the record, Ted Kennedy is a fat, overbearing, drunken wind-bag and has been for over a decade now.
From Fox News via Blackfive:

“On March 19, 2004, President Bush asked, ‘Who would prefer that Saddam’s torture chambers still be open?’” said Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass. “Shamefully, we now learn that Saddam’s torture chambers reopened under new management: U.S. management.”

Ted Kennedy is comparing our military to Saddam’s thugs? What happened to supporting the troops? He has just insulted each and every soldier who devotes their life to defending his right to be a pompous boob.
I hope he’s satisfied with himself.
But remember, Ted Kennedy may be a rabid left-wing wacko, but he’s still not as liberal as Kerry.

I bet it’s more likely that Senator Kennedy has plenty of respect for our soldiers, the one’s who are serving for us. I think he may have been referring to the one’s acting outside of their orders, as seen here: http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/iraqis_tortured/iraqis_tortured_newyorker-e.jpg or more fully, here: http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/iraqis_tortured/

I don’t think he has equated every servicemember with “Saddam’s thugs” as you said, and similarly, I think most members of our armed services, who are bravely risking their lives for you and I, are appalled by the actions of those few. It is a shame that the actions of those few are tarnishing the world’s view of our fine military. At the same time, it is important that we don’t get blinded by politics – instead we must acknowledge the severity of the torture and make sure such a thing doesn’t happen in the future.

Just for the record, Globular 1 is a fat, overbearing, drunken wind-bag and has been for over 2 decades now.

He is a Right Wing Conservative who advocates massive tax cuts and the banning of monopolies by unions of public services.

Among other things… (gotta go to work)

All due respect Bill, but Kennedy made no distinctions in his statement. He stated that “Hussein’s torture chambers re-opened” under “U.S. management.” What clearer indication do you need to prove to you that he is indicting our entire military over there?

Not to mention the fact that its rather naive to compare what happened at Abu Ghraib to the decades of torture and terror comitted by Hussein and his minions.
