Teacher Ridicules Kid Who Speaks Out In Favor Of John McCain

When the liberals say they like diversity they’re right. You can be as diverse as you want to be, as long as you’re a liberal.

Here’s a brief transcript of the part where the teacher makes the kid whose dad is serving in the military cry:

Diantha Harris: It’s a senseless war! [Stares at Kathy.] And by the way, Kathy, the person that you’re picking for president said [Harris shakes her head] that our troops could stay in Iraq for another hundred years if they need to! [Kathy bites her lip, looks ashamed. Other kids stare at Kathy, laugh, smirk.] So that means that your daddy could stay in the military for another hundred years!
[Kathy is on verge of tears.]
[In an interview later:]
Diantha Harris: Now I can support whomever I want to support, as long as I don’t browbeat another person for the candidate that they supported. Like I have some students that support John McCain, and when they told me that, I said ah … “that’s good’ and I just moved on. So, I think that everybody is entitled to their own personal opinion.

This is one of the best arguments I’ve ever seen for home schooling. Or school vouchers, at least.

I only hope this sorry excuse for a teacher has to spend an equal amount of time in a room with this little girl’s Daddy.
Had the colors been switched, there’d be 100 black preachers boycotting the school & insisting for the teacher’s job.

Let’s dissect this for a second and see what we have:

1. A classroom full of impressionable, yet largely irresponsible minds.

2. The minds are captive in a setting where they are more interested in seeking approval from their peers.

3. A leader who at best probably can’t debate logically, rationally, or factually, and therefore has to turn to picking on kids.

4. An argument that feels better than it is in reality.

Mix it all up and what do you get? One outcast plus a classroom full of brainwashed minds.

And we wonder why sending our children to gubment schools is akin to child abuse…

This is not education. This is intimidation and the spreading of political campaign messages. I hope the school district fires and fines this teacher who would do such a terrible thing. Teachers are entitled to free speech on their own time. Teachers are public employees in the classroom to educate, not to bully and intimidate. This child will now be scarred for life, and have nightmares every night until her Dad comes home.

My wife is a secondary teacher in ND and ran into a lot of bullying from other teachers in the system. One was voting for the big O because he “looked presidential”. Told her the other day I was looking forward to sharing her wealth now.

As a veteran teacher, I’m deeply offended by the way this woman has used her position to impose her political beliefs on her students.

In more than a decade of teaching, I have never tried to impose my political beliefs on a student, or ridiculed their beliefs.

This woman does not belong in the classroom.

Wow!!! All I can say is, Wow!!! This is a person who has a degree and has been approved by the state of NC to teach (and I use that term here very loosely) children. She honestly believes that she did nothing wrong and nothing will undoubtedly happen to her.
