Taliban: We Knew Prince Harry Was In Iraq

Color me skeptical.

(CBS) The Taliban was aware that Britain’s Prince Harry was on active army duty in Afghanistan and was looking to “take him out,” according to a longtime royals watcher.
Robert Jobson, author and Royal Correspondent for the London Evening Standard said on The Early Show Monday that the Taliban learned of Harry’s presence by late last year, and hoped to “take him out and have all the publicity that would go with that.”

Sounds like self-important posturing from a bunch of militant zealots who are both politically and militarily on the ropes right now. They want to make it sound like they can access even deep British military secrets like this one, but that seems entirely unlikely.
But even if they did know Harry was in Afghanistan, there’s still the fact that they couldn’t get to them. Which means that the Taliban are either lying to puff up their importance or so marginalized that they can’t accomplish even high profile objectives like taking out a British prince on the battlefield.
Neither looks good for them.

Sorry, kids. Anyone paying attention knew he was being deployed with his unit last November. He was nicknamed “Bullet Magnet” by his squadies after they had been in theater for a short time. Why do you think that was?

I don’t think that they knew, because if they did, they would of done taken him out, and not wait until he has been taken out of the country to announce that they knew.

Yeah, I knew Prince Harry was there. So did Musharaf, Akmadijihedppffttt, Osama Bin Laden, Barak Hussein Obama, Yasser Arafat, Abdul Nasser, Soupy Sales and a bunch of others. Everyone was commenting on the length of Harry’s hair.
