Taliban ‘Offensive’ Going Nowhere

Yep, I
told you
that the vaunted Taliban spring offensive, supposed to be the largest
and most powerful yet, would sputter and fail.

American airpower in particular has been devastating
to the woefully underequipped and poorly-trained Talibs. AK-47′s are no match
for Apache helicopters, as Taliban commander Mullah Najibullah should have known
before attacking U.S. and coalition forces in Helmand province. You can see stills
of Najibullah’s recent demise on video here.

The Taliban have been so ineffectual and inept thus far, that Army Col. Mark
Schweitzer, commander of forces in eastern Afghanistan, is
not even sure the much-anticipated spring offensive has even begun.
"I
hope this is their spring offensive, because it’s not very effective,"
Schweitzer said.

The first sentence is relevant to your post.

What army, if any, would announce an offensive and then begin it when at the announced date?

What kind of commander in the field of any armed forces would believe the stated intentions of the enemy?

The US military has been hoodwinked.

Really, really smart ‘Republicans’ would swallow such hogwash, hook, line, and sinker.

    Fools never learn.

What army, if any, would announce an offensive and then begin it when at the announced date?

Gee, I dunno, Ronald… the same type of people who would announce a “we’re retreating on such-and-such a date?”

Good thing nobody in this country is that stupid.

What will you have to say for yourself?

What do you have to say for yourself, Ron Wa? Not man enough to answer any questions about the lies you spread?
What makes you think you have an iota of credibility here? Do you think that all you have to do is spread a little more horse manure around and no one will notice your stench? Hardly! If you will not or cannot engage in honest conversation, or if you don’t have the integrity to back up whatever bullshit you happen to be peddling, don’t be surprised if everyone can’t help but notice that you are nothing more than a hemorrhoid on society’s ass!

    Ronald Walter is stupid!

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

And he only gets one cookie!

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

It is a proven fact that Ron Wa is gullible. Just last night, I caught him doing a little cut and paste from a site that didn’t have their facts straight, either. What a maroon!

  • Ronald Walter

Another Pyrrhic victory to add to the collection.

“I don’t know why you’re talking about Sweden. They’re the neutral one. They don’t have an army.” — George Bush during a Dec. 2002 Oval Office meeting with Rep. Tom Lantos, as reported by the New York Times

Mr. Bush is really, really smart. Any really, really smart ‘Republican’ unquestionably knows how really, really smart Mr. Bush is.

Imagine what the Bush Memorial Library will look like when its hallowed halls are inscribed with Bush quotes.

It will be the hallmark of his illustrious political career.

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

it is amazing the Ronald Walter comes on here and accepts a statement by Robertson as being fact

It is amazing that anyone over the age of six would believe that any adult anywhere could promise a war without casualities!

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

So, Ron Wa decides to “punt” and hide out all night because he’s too small and insecure to admit that he’s full of crap!
How much do you want to bet that when he comes back he’ll act as if nothing has happened and start some other line of shit, hoping nobody calls him on it?

  • http://www.ski-blog.com/ sayanything-24

Clearly God and Pat Robertson knew better. If only we listened to God and Robertson instead of Clinton, Tenet, Hillary, and all of the Democrats that voted in favor of the Iraq War resolution.

Gonna question Bush’s foresight, perhaps Ronald should review the Dems own hindsight and their own votes.

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

    …that makes you special.

I always suspected that Ronald took the short bus to school!

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

Ron Wa: Are you admitting here, by your cowardly silence, that you frequently shoot off your mouth without any regards as to whether you have your facts straight or have the slightest inkling as to what you’re talking about?

And that the closest you can come to a cogent argument is to babble ‘Republican’ ‘Republican’?
Is that what you’re telling us? I thought so!

  • http://www.ski-blog.com/ sayanything-24

I will help Ronald by pointing out that there is no evidence on record of Bush actually saying that, but rather, this was a recollection of Pat Robertson.

And I warned him about this war. I had deep misgivings about this war, deep misgivings. And I was trying to say, ‘Mr. President, you had better prepare the American people for casualties.’ ”

He said that’s when the president told him he did not expect casualties from the invasion.

In the interview, Robertson also said he wishes Bush would admit to mistakes made.

“I mean, the Lord told me it was going to be A, a disaster, and B, messy,” Robertson said. “I warned him about casualties.”

Asked why he thought Bush has refused to admit to mistakes on Iraq, Robertson said, “I don’t know this politics game. You know, you can never say you were wrong because the opposition grabs onto it: ‘See, he admitted he screwed up.’ “

Says the man that ran in 1988 for the Presidential nomination of the Republican Party–I don’t know this politics game.

I think perhaps Robertson was confused. Perhaps God can tell him what Bush said since clearly God personally talked to Pat and told him that the war was going to have significan casualties. I believe that may have been the same conversation where God told Robertson that 9-11 was perpetrated because of the abortionists, the ACLU, etc., and that God was no longer blessing us. Perhaps the war casualties were because Dover, PA isn’t teaching Intelligent Design and God is punishing our military in Iraq for it.

The dude, Robertson, is a douche and it is amazing the Ronald Walter comes on here and accepts a statement by Robertson as being fact over President Bush’s own statements that refute it considering that the Left universally agrees with me that Robertson is a f*ing nutjob.

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

Ron Wa: WTF? I asked you a simple question for your very simple mind and here you show up without it!
I ask you again, Dirt-Bag, for a citation for the lie you told about President Bush. I’m sure the rest od us would like to see it, too!
Until then, no cookies for you, Douche-Bag!

  • http://www.ski-blog.com/ sayanything-24

BTW, this was a well timed political attack on Bush right before the election. Some asshat takes an unconfirmed statement with no backing at all from Robertson and claims that Bush said it…

Robertson is a journalist and surely should have some notes or something to confirm this quote… and journalist is a term I use loosely because the 700 Club fancies themselves as a new source–in between the pandering for tithes and donations.

  • Ronald Walter

From an economic point of view, it is. A war that was to cost 60 billion dollars, last from six weeks to six months, and George Bush’s statement to Pat Robertson that there would be no casualties, yes it is a Pyrrhic victory.

You are the one who doesn’t understand what a Pyrrhic victory is.

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

that there would be no casualties

Ron Wa: You want to back that up with a citation? Nobody, nowhere ever promised a war with no casualties. Give us your citation or crawl back under your rock!

  • Ronald Walter

The US military probably spent a 100 million dollars preparing for an offensive that never happened.

The enemy won the battle by not firing a shot.

The US military spent money for a whole lot of nothing.

A successful war tactic achieved by the Taliban.

Of course, really, really smart ‘Republicans’ wouldn’t ever think that could be done.

  • http://www.kenmccracken.blogspot.com/ Ken McCracken

The Taliban made us prepare for an attack that never came, and that is . . . a Taliban victory???

Why, those devilishly clever Talibs – how can we EVER defeat such wily tactics?

  • http://www.kenmccracken.blogspot.com/ Ken McCracken

Oh, and here’s a nice macadamia nut white chocolate cookie for you, Wonald.

    You’ve earned it.

  • Ronald Walter

    Are you ponerized?

    http://ponerology.blogspot.com/

“When something or someone has become “Ponerized” in its strictest sense, it means that the person or group can no longer make the distinction between healthy and pathological thought processes and logic. One is no longer able to draw a line between correct thinking and deviate thinking.

Flagrant examples of such ponerization can be found in the press of oppressor countries justifying their exploitation of others. In Germany in the 30s, the Reich proclaimed the faith of the unification of the German people. Now the Americans speak of bringing “freedom” to Iraq. But look at what they have actually brought to Iraq: the death of close to a million Iraqi civilians, not to mention a million more who died under the embargo put in place by the Democrats and Clinton. The country has been destroyed in the name of liberation, and in spite of this horror, the only remedy Bush can find is to send in 30,000 more troops.

The debate in the US media is not over impeachment and trial of the criminals and deviants in power in the United States, it is over how many troops to send, for how long should they stay, and how slowly can the US pull out of occupied Iraq.

An example of how far the intellectual capacity of the average American has fallen, to what depths it has sunk, can be found in the Easter weekend edition of USA Today. On the editorial page, we find the title: “Today’s debate: How the surge is going”.

In response to the growing calls for a US exit from Iraq, G.W. Bush decided to do the opposite and send an extra 30,000 poor blacks, latinos, and white boys from the wrong side of the tracks to Iraq. The media spin doctors have labelled this increase in troops, blood, and violence “the surge”. The so-called liberals in the US think the troops should begin coming home “soon”, in an orderly fashion.

The limits of the debate are outrageous given that millions of Iraqi lives are at stake. The US is an illegal occupier. It invaded the country, sent in its moneymen to take over, and have been orchestrating the dismemberment of Iraq at the behest of the Israel Lobby. Remember that elements in Israel have been calling for the division of Iraq into three weak states since the early eighties, exactly the plan now being implemented by the Bush Reich.

    Coincidence? We think not…

What will you have to say for yourself?”

    http://ponerology.blogspot.com/

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

Ron Wa: Are you Bonerized? That is, have you become such a big prick that your Ass-hat no longer fits?
(But it doesn’t keep you from trying it on, does it?)

it means that the person or group can no longer make the distinction between healthy and pathological thought processes and logic.

Sounds like your autobiography, Ron Wa!

  • http://www.ski-blog.com/ sayanything-24

Wow, Ronald. I am impressed. You are able to use the power of Google and cut and paste to copy someone else’s thoughts and post them here–

as opposed to post your own thoughts in response to Proof’s challenge to your previous bullshit half story post about Bush and Robertson.

Get a fucking clue. Posting someone else’s thoughts demonstrates absolutely no thought processes and logic that you claim to be fond of. Spouting off the typical Bush-Hitler, Bush Lied Kids Died, The Military is a bunch of minorities, the Surge isn’t working, Quagmire, etc., bullshit that is on every blog from Daily Kos to DU… That is no thought process. That is plagarizing a book report for your Freshman English class.

Give us some unique thought from that little brain of yours. Perform your own experiments in your backyard to prove that 9-11 was an inside job. Doctor up your own photographs of Israeli jets firing rockets at the Palestinians. Make your own memo about Bush’s service record. I mean do something creative. Stop copying the thoughts of others and thinking that makes you special.

…If there is a future, you are going to be judged by your grandchildren. They will ask you what you did. They will ask you how it was that Bush and his pathological buddies were able to subvert the US constitution. They will ask you why you did nothing while innocents were tortured and brutalized in detention camps that span the globe. They will ask you how it was that you couldn’t see the, oh, so obvious lies that were told to justify this violence and aggression, not the first time after 9/11, not the second time for Iraq, and not the third time for Iran.

What will you have to say for yourself?
