Actually, consumer spending is the result of economic growth, not its cause. The cause of economic growth is the placing of privately owned and controlled capital at risk to make a profit. That investment creates jobs, which are sustained and increased due to profits.
This is why Keynes was wrong, among other reasons.

Obama thinks everyone is as stupid as the people that voted for him. He makes the loosest, most general statements possible, to attempt to imply that Bush is responsible for all the rampant spending because it started under him.

I didn’t vote for him for several reasons: his beliefs, his background, but most of all because of the fact that everyone put so much faith in him. They didn’t learn 1 very important lesson: “If it sounds too good to be true, it is!” He said he was going to change the world, come on-really? Not much has changed and what has… is worse than ever! Now his approval rating is falling, yet so many are still disillusioned and think that things will change by themselves or they say “Let someone else take care of it, what can I do anyway?” While bit by bit our great country is going to hell in a handbasket with a quickness: the economy is getting worse, unemployment keeps rising, more and more people are losing the jobs and homes, our “President” travels to other countries bowing and apologizing for us, and the rights guaranteed by the Constitution are becoming a memory of the “good ol’ days” when free really meant FREE! People need to proudly stand up for what they believe in and voice their feelings loud and clear to this government before it’s too late and the country and freedoms that so many have given life and limb for become just a chapter in a history book.

Sen. McCain is undoubtedly a citizen. He was born on Aug. 29, 1936, in the Panama Canal Zone, and Congress has specifically provided that anyone born there of U.S. parents, as he was, is a citizen. Indeed, the general rule is that anyone born of U.S. parents outside the United States is a citizen.

So the laws stipulate that he is a US citizen.
