Surrealism: The Myth Of Obama Vs. The Reality Of Obama

Rick Moran:

[Salvador] Dali once famously said “The difference between me and a madman is that I am not mad.” Something similar could be said for the differences between the Obama on the stump and Obama the real person. This became abundantly clear last night when the largest campaign crowd yet – more than 35,000 by most estimates – thronged to the park in front of Independence Hall to hear the probable/potential/possible next President of the United States chant his “hope and change” mantra while totally ignoring the reality of a man whose past associations include an incredible group of hate mongering anti-Americans, racist pastors, crooked “fixers,” and “politics as usual” politicians who give the lie to his pretty words and noble sentiments

I don’t think Dali associated with murderers, racists or crooked politicians, did he?  I saw one of his exhibits in Brugge, Belgium.  His art is indeed bizarre, but he did not advocate killing police or even engaging in illegal acts, or confrontations with the government.  Interesting indeed.

I find it a little strange that Obama keeps going on about change, but then insists that his pas associations don’t matter.  Isn’t what he is based on his past, and that is going to be part of his whole “change.”

He speaks a good game right up until someone confronts him, then any discerning person can see the pretty picture fall apart.

This lack of judgement by some Dimmie’s and middle of the road type people remind me of the rise to power of Hitler. I am not associating Obama with Hitler, just the way that people are not looking at the canditate completely. The Germans were in such desperate times that any chance at hope was grasped. The Germans were in trouble economically after WWI brought about by the restrictions put on by the other European Nations.
That I think is what is a big part of what is driving the supporters of Barrack. They have this misguided view of America. We as a nation are terrible, we are racists, we hate everyone that does not beleive in what we beleive in. I could go on and on. This thinking is brought about by poor reporting, a constant barrage of media that says America is always wrong, a total disregard to setting a higher moral and political honesty by our politicians, and a complete disregard for how evil people can be ( I am refereing to the radical Islamic groups, like talking to them would help! Plleaasseee spare me the rhetoric.).
America does more good around the world than bad, far more good. Our standard of living cannot be matched by any other nation when it comes to freedoms and economic wealth. Our poor have more than some nations middle class. Can we improve? Always. Are we as bad as Obama is saying? Not even close. I do beleive that if Obama receives the Democratic Nomination, the MSM will have to start looking at him and him alone. Their attitudes will slowly change as they realize that without a script to follow the man does not have much substance. It has already started somewhat from the ABC Debate. Mr. Gibson’s question on the Capitol Gains Tax increase bringing about lower tax revenue made Mr. Obama stumble. Obama’s main response was to heck with lower tax revenue, he wants his verison of fairness, even to the extent that it effects the middle and lower class. Classic wealth redistribution thinking. Over the upcoming months he will stumble more and more. To the point that the MSM will have to cover the downfall. This is my humble opionon of the next few months. For a political watcher it is like watching the past SuperBowl every week.
