Surprise: Democrat Who Won New York 23 Race Already Breaking Promise On Government Health Care

That didn’t take long:

Congressman-elect Bill Owens was sworn in at noon today.
Owens indicated in a press release that he was now in favor of the bill in direct contrast to his earlier position during his campaign.
According to Politico.com, Mr. Owens assured voters that he felt the public option had no place in the health care reform bill. Contrary to that position, Mr. Owens now indicates that he intends to vote in favor of the bill even though it now contains a public option.

Funny how Democrats usually campaign with conservative stances on issues only to turn around and become true-liberals once in office. Even Obama did it. Remember all his talk about transparency and tax cuts and responsible spending? Once in office he broke those promises almost immediately.
Meanwhile, Republicans plan to vote unanimously against Pelosi care. That unified opposition will allow them to hang this ugly bill around the neck of Democrats later, but that’s cold comfort once we’re all locked into a government-run system.

Dino. Some People Are Like Slinkies. They’re Not Really Good For Anything, But They Bring a Smile To Your Face When Pushed Down The Stairs.

He is a democrat first and foremost. He just did what most of them do.

Besides, Pelosi needs him. Cuz she has 25 or so others she is forcing to walk the plank into a new career.

Well, reagan, bush, bush, gingrich et al promised you a no-tax Utopia of prosperity if only you’d let them implement their conservative policies of tax cuts, deregulation and free market reforms.

How’d that turn out for you?

Tell the kids I said Good Luck with that diminished future.

Your kids will probably do that to you when they find out how your greed and ignorance sentenced them to a dismal future of debt and diminished prosperity.
