Stupid: Scott Hennen Caller Says We Should Shoot Obama

I was just listening to The Scott Hennen Show, and some idiot caller just suggested to Scott what people in the heartland would do with “community organizers” like Barack Obama is “shoot the son of a bitch.”
Which is the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard.
Let me be clear about this: Violence has no place in American politics.
Spirited debate? Sure.
Name-calling? It happens.
But calls for violence or threats of violence are indefensible, and those on the right or left who engage in such nonsense do more damage to their own cause than to the opposition’s.

Funny, Dannyboy, but an ex-Dem campaign statergist was on Fox the other day and she said they employed plants frequently to “set the tone” in campaigns. I didn’t hear this show, but it was probably just a nut. He should be visited by the cops. Remember John Hinkley?

    Was Ed Schultz the caller?

    Stupid is as stupid calls.

I was going to suggest that the caller was likely planted by the left but I see I’ve been beaten to the punch.

Maybe it was a jihadist plant? ;)

    Knock-Knock – Secret Service calling.

What a moron. I hope the show passed on the called I.D. info.

the idea that this could have been a plant isn’t exactly a shocking one.

Shocking, no. Stupid, but not shocking.

  • FlyOnTheWall

Let Obama metaphorically shoot himself with failed ideas.

That kind of moronic behavior will leave us with failed policies for generations, christened with martyrs blood. There’d be no getting rid of it then.

Not everyone is skilled with nuance.

probably an “Obama” plant.. Something like the so-called “kill him, kill him” rants that supposedly happened at a McCain Rally. Whom, by the way NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIND OR VERIFY!!

I was listening, too. Thankfully Scott berated the idea and the caller for saying it.

CJ – my gut feel is that it wasn’t a plant. I obviously don’t know for certain, but it didn’t seem like it to me. No, this was a clueless dolt who unfortunately is on our side.

Given that the “sowing the seeds of hate” meme is a tactic actively deployed by the Obama campaign, with cooperation from the media, the idea that this could have been a plant isn’t exactly a shocking one.

Of course, there’s no evidence to suggest any such thing is true so saying as much is pure speculation, but it’s not exactly crazy talk either.
