“Struggling Families” Ask Obama What He’s Going To Do For Them
This is so tiresome:
HOLLAND, Ohio – During an hourlong visit to a neighborhood of ranch-style and split-level homes near Toledo, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was repeatedly asked what he could do to help struggling families.
His answers ranged from tax cuts to aid for struggling auto companies to measures to reduce home foreclosures.
You know what would be refreshing? If a politician were asked by “struggling” voters what he/she is going to “do” for them to help them out with whatever it is they’re struggling with, and he/she responded by saying “What are you going to do for yourselves?”
Wouldn’t that be refreshing? Of course, the media (which is run by big-government liberals) would excorciate that politician for daring to suggest that people be personally responsible, but it’s exactly that sort response that this country needs. No more bailouts, whether it be for welfare cases or multi-billion dollar corporate giants.
And by the way, check out Obama’s solutions for helping these people out. His “tax cuts” are really a check in the mail for the almost half of Americans who pay nothing or next to nothing in federal income taxes while those Americans who pay the most taxes get a tax hike. Efforts to reduce home foreclosures by groups like Obama’s former employers at ACORN is exactly what got us into this financial mess we’re in now, and the automakers already got a $25 billion bailout.
Is Obama really suggesting that he’s going to give the automakers more? And can we admit that bailing out the automakers who are being driven under by overpriced union labor is little more than propping up a failed business/labor situation?
Obama is the wrong leader for this country. Unfortunately, by nominating a terrible candidate for President, it looks like Republicans have ensured that he’ll be President despite that.
