Some Toledo Residents: Nazis Had No Right To March

Here's an update to that Nazi protest/riot I posted about previously.

TOLEDO, Ohio - In the days leading up to a white supremacist march, ministers pleaded with residents to stay calm and community leaders organized peace rallies. Authorities even delayed releasing the route so protesters wouldn't know where the group planned to march.

It wasn't enough to stop an angry mob that included gang members from looting and burning a neighborhood bar, smashing the windows of a gas station and hurling rocks and bottles at police on Saturday. Twelve officers were injured, one suffering a concussion when a brick flew through her cruiser window.

In all, 114 people were arrested on charges including assault, vandalism, failure to disperse and overnight curfew violations.

"We knew during the preparation that it was going to be a tremendous challenge," Police Chief Mike Navarre said Sunday. "Anyone who would accuse us of being underprepared I would take exception with that."

Much of the anger boiled over because people were upset that city leaders were willing to allow the supremacists to walk through the neighborhood and shout insults, residents and authorities said.

"You can't allow people to come challenge a whole city and not think they weren't going to strike back," said Kenneth Allen, 47, who watched the violence begin near his home.

Except that you can allow people to challenge a whole city. Its a right afforded to them in the Constitution. The Nazis, as virulent and despicable as their world view is, did not start the rioting or the violence in Toledo. They acquired all the necessary permits and permissions and were by all accounts, up until the time they were accosted by an angry mob, exercising their right to peacefully assemble.

As much as it pains me to say this, the Nazis are in the right on this one. The black community in Toledo is very much in the wrong.

When Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders marched against racial injustice in the south and were met with angry and malicious mobs who tried to silence their voices and do them harm, that was wrong. But no more wrong than white supremacists being met with the same attempts to silence their voices. At least from constitutional perspective.

Frankly, the black community would have done well to deny the Nazis the attention they wished to garner with this march. But they didn't. Instead they chose to play into the very stereotypes the Nazis were using to characterize them. That's a shame, but now water under the bridge.

If Toledo's black community wishes to redeem themselves they'd do well to admonish those in their midst responsible for the loutish behavior and move on with a lesson learned.

Actually, I for one am glad the Nazi’s did this rally/protest. Opened some more eyes, as Katrina did.
The Neo-Nazi’s weren’t begged nor pleaded with by city officials to leave. They obeyed and did as they were asked. Makes me more Proud to be White.
As for those citizen’s of N Toledo, they were begged, preached too, and even “asked” to just ignore the Nazi’s. Proves that blacks can not and want to not be civilized.
I am not a Neo-Nazi but Proud to be White. So I am accused of being a racist. I don’t care, if blacks can protest so can whites. We just don’t get the funding from the Jew Gov to aide in the White peoples future.

One suspects that Shyone’s middle and last names are “Ofa Fulldeck”.

No, I imagine that you are accused of being racist because you left a comment with a URI pointing to a site that uses the word “nigger” in the actual domain.  Christ… you’d think it would get to a point where you’d just embrace it and say “hell yeah I’m racist.”

[...] The “White Supremacists” did not riot in Toledo. They acquired all the necessary permits and permissions and attempted to stage a protest even of the sort that is perfectly acceptable and legal under America’s free speech laws. They were met with an angry mob that threatened, burned, looted and destroyed. [...]

I’ve never understood how people can go through twelve years of public education and still end up like Shyone. I’m sure religion has something to do with that, but that can’t be everything.

The “site” has a lot of truth in it. Be open minded if you dare. Don’t be afraid if the members of the site will rebuke the so called lies that are being taught to school kids today.

Maybe public education ISN’T helping.

Let’s compare Rob’s rhetoric to Shyone’s:

ROB: Frankly, the black community would have done well to deny the Nazis the attention they wished to garner with this march. But they didn’t. Instead they chose to play into the very stereotypes the Nazis were using to characterize them. That’s a shame, but now water under the bridge.

If Toledo’s black community wishes to redeem themselves they’d do well to admonish those in their midst responsible for the loutish behavior and move on with a lesson learned.

Blaming a whole race for the actions of a few; saying the protestors played into some kind of “stereotype” (apparently all blacks love to riot?); laying the blame for the riot squarely on the black protestors; forgiving the Nazis for inciting unrest and violence (they didn’t have permits to march) by saying the people living in that community should have just ignored them.

SHYONE: The Neo-Nazi’s weren’t begged nor pleaded with by city officials to leave. They obeyed and did as they were asked. Makes me more Proud to be White.
As for those citizen’s of N Toledo, they were begged, preached too, and even “asked” to just ignore the Nazi’s. Proves that blacks can not and want to not be civilized.

Laying the blame squarely on the black protestors; uses “uncivilized” black stereotype; forgives the Nazis for inciting violence and unrest by saying the people living in that community should have just ignored them; blames a whole race for the actions of a few.

I don’t think Rob is a racist, but I do think this was an very poorly-written post.

Also:

They acquired all the necessary permits and permissions and were by all accounts, up until the time they were accosted by an angry mob, exercising their right to peacefully assemble.

From the story:

Authorities said there was little they could do to stop the group, because they did not apply for a parade permit and instead planned to walk along sidewalks.

“They do have a right to walk on the Toledo sidewalks,” said Mayor Jack Ford, who at one point confronted leaders of the mob and tried to settle them down.

Surely you don’t think they should have MORE “multi-culturalism is good, white men are evil” classes, right?

I watched a live, local TV broadcast fed to a national network for over half an hour showing rioters destroying a building. From the overhead helicopter views one could observe police within 3-4 blocks who did nothing to enforce the law until after the building was set afire.  For this cowardly failure to act, shame on the Toledo police department and the town should compensate the owner in full for the damage to property.

First, if you read my post again, you’ll see that I didn’t state I was sure that Shyone’s beliefs were the result of Christianity.

Second, are you really going to suggest that there is no connection between Christianity and white supremacism? Because that is, quite frankly, absurd.

I blamed the black community in Toledo for acting like a bunch of idiots in response to a protest by another bunch of idiots.

I was wrong about the Nazis getting a permit, but the point is moot.  The protest was legal.  They had every right to be there.  The blacks had no right to riot and cause violence.  I am holding them accountable for their own actions.

I’m not sure why my words merit a comparison between myself and a doofus like Shyone, but whatever.

I got this linked from another blog. I cant actually believe that there are blogs out there that rely on OTHER blogs for support to their conclusion. The idiocy is astounding.

Anyway, the Nazis did NOT have a permit fromt he city, the city refused to grant them the permits. Im afraid those angry rioting negros DIDNT end up starting this bout...this time. Who knows if we go back in time, maybe it was the blacks that attacked Germany in WW2 which caused them to react in their aggressive way.
