Some Animals Are More Equal Than Other’s In California

California is broke. They are set to issue IOU’s because they don’t have the money to pay for their expenses because they government there has been so generous with the states employees.
Of course not everyone gets an IOU. Those same government employees are getting cash while the people who are supposedly being “served” get cold hard cash.
Nice.

    Then republicans cut in front of them, take their share of the handouts and that of the 10 people behind them.

    Whisler. The republicans and conservatives of California want to permanently eliminate payments to those receiving IOUs.

    Guess what folks, banks in Calif. , which are recipients of Tarp money are going to redeem these IOU’s at face value. So it’s not to be called a bailout, but that’s what it is. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, you can be almost certain it is a duck.

    If BoA and the other TARP bailout banks are cashing those IOUs, then the state of California is in effect creating money by printing and distributing the IOUs in the first place. And that is a violation of the Constitution. That power rests solely with the federal government (Article 1, Sections 8 and 10).
