Soliciting Questions For An Interview

bayanthumb.jpg

I've been granted the opportunity to interview Ms. Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman, head
of the Kurdistan Development
Corporation
and the Kurdistan Regional Government's High Representative To
The United Kingdom.

Ms. Rahman is intimately familiar with the situation in Iraq, particularly with regard to the Kurdish people in northern Iraq. Rahman is also familiar with Islamic terrorism, with both her father (Deputy Prime Minister for the Regional Government of Kurdistan from 1999 - 2004) and her brother having been killed by a suicide bomber.

I plan on asking Ms. Rahman a lot of questions about the situation in Iraq and America's role in it, as well as her opinion of American feelings toward the war. If any of you can think of any questions you'd like to see asked post them in the comments and I'll try to work them into the interview.

I believe the Kurdistan are the once that have benifited the most from our ousting of Saddam.
I also believe they are the Iraq group most alligned with our goals and vision of Iraq.

Can you please ask her to do a than an now enumeration of the benefit to her people from our ousting of Saddam, so as that we can see the benefits?

Can you also ask her to give you her group’s vision for that part of Iraq?

Can you please ask her what her area’s economy is based on and what her group’s vision for the future is? ..also how much monetary aid her group gets and from whom so as to make that vision a reality?

It would be interesting to see whether she would support a division of iraq into seperate kurdish, sunni, shi’te countries or feels that it should remain a unified country and try and embrace the diversity.

Great suggestions guys.  I’ve added all of those to my list.

Ask her why our perception that there is no such thing as moderate muslim is incorrect adn if we are incorrect why do the moderate muslims do nothing to curb the radicals?

And if that won’t work you can always ask the question tha has plagued the muslim world for ages, does it actually take three licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

the Kurdish seem to be well off without the central Iraqi government.  In my stimation, I think it should go on its own. It would probably be better off that way.

..ask her if she concurs with me

rob do you plan on asking any equality questions. You know the you seem to be a smart lady does it bother you that the men of the muslim world view women as second class citizens no more than possessions.

oh one more thing rob. I can not speak for the others here but personally I would think it would be very cool to have her blog with us here? I know I can promise to be nice and I am the sure others will.

I think it would be very interesting to have an open conversation with her and the other SA participants.

Richard, I’ll see what I can do about a chat session or something...but I’m not hopeful.  She’s a busy woman, and I was lucky to get this interview with her tonight.

Ask her how she feels about the Turks.
Also ask what is the difference between Sadam killing Kurds, and the Turkish army killing the Kurds.
