Sign The Petition: Keep Drew Wrigley As US Attorney

Now that Barack Obama is President, US District Attorney for North Dakota Drew Wrigley may be losing his job.  In the past Senators Kent Cornad and Byron Dorgan supported Wrigley’s appointment to his position, but now that Obama is President they seem to be backing away from their support.

Yesterday the Fargo Forum called on Barack Obama to stand behind his talk of post-partisanship and re-appoint Wrigley. The Forum also called on Senators Conrad and Dorgan to petition Obama to keep Wrigley.  While I don’t often see eye-to-eye with the Forum editorial board, this is one instance where I do.

Scott Hennen is also behind this effort.  Today he has on Linda Walker, Dru Sjodin’s mother (Wrigley tried and prosecuted Dru’s murderer), to talk about why Wrigley should keep his job.

I’d like to do my part as well, and would encourage you readers to sign this online petition to support Wrigley remaining US Attorney for North Dakota.

If you’re a Facebook user be sure to join the group started by Walker supporting Wrigley as well.
