Sign Of The Times: Obama Economic Adviser Falls Asleep During “Fiscal Responsibility” Summit

The Obama folks sure seem to be taking this “let’s cut the budget” stuff seriously.

Although Lawrence Summers, head of the National Economic Council, fell asleep on the podium, most attendees, including Republicans, appear to have appreciated the exercise.

I’ll bet he wouldn’t have fell asleep if the topic were spending more money.

    PALEASE!!! I can’t read these stories and then have to look at the male model man child called the One with his shades and sport coat telling me to get my free money grant. Get him OFF this page–please!!!! he’s everywhere else, I can’t stand having him here too. This page is like sacred ground/mental clarity stuff. Then that image whacks the whole message!

    Summers was simply demonstrating the administration’s deep commitment to “Fiscal Responsibility” as one might expect from those who casually add trillions to the nation’s deficit with no substantive, realistic expectation that all that Keynesian spending will be any more effective than it hasn’t been in the past.
