Shots Fired At McCain/Palin Campaign Bus?

That’s what is being reported in New Mexico:

(Sunday, October 19 – Filed by Mark Williams in Raton, New Mexico with the Stop Obama Tour) We learned at this morning’s Stop Obama Rally here that the McCain/Palin Straight Talk Express came through town yesterday. It arrived with a window shattered by a .22 caliber weapon. It had also been hit by an unknown number of paint balls from a paint ball gun or guns. There were reportedly no injuries and neither candidate was on board.
One local man who saw the damage and spoke with the McCain/Palin staffers said the attack(s) had occured in southern New Mexico that same day. The Express is traveling the country independent of the candidates, handing out campaign materials.

Meanwhile, McCain and Palin get blamed for “sowing the seeds of hate” for daring to talk about Obama’s partnerships with extremists like unrepentant bomb-setter William Ayers the America-damning pastor Jeremiah Wright.

    That's odd, none of the local MSM news stations so much as mentioned this armed attack on the McCain campaign. Do we have the right to defend ourselves against these noble champions of democracy and other Democrat role models like the brave liberal BHO supporter in NYC who beat up a woman half his size for carrying a McCain sign? Do you think the members of the Albuquerque press might be shining their noses like Colin Powell in anticipation of a BO win? If Powell's support for BHO is the correct choice now, it was correct a year ago during the competition for the nomination. It's remarkable (but not suprising) that Powell didn't have the gonads back then to declare what was doubtless already his preference.

    Just checked the Santa Fe, Albuquerque and Raton Newspapers, nothing? But then "Three Dollar Bill"(Gov Bill Richardson) is known to shut these newspapers up whenever he wants.

    On the website of the blogger who originated this report (which he was reporting 2nd hand ) he has added an update that he has spoken with the Secret Service and no report has been filed. The McCain camp has also said no report has been filed with them about this and have no knowledge of it. Police departments in the area acknowledge also that no reports have been filed. It's quite possible that this is an exaggerated claim that has gained energy and extra details as it's been winging its way through the blogs. There's much negative energy out there from all camps so it wouldn't be surprising. As far as the facts go however, so far, nothing's backing this one up.
