When we lived in Alaska we had an owl swoop down and carry off our dog.  Kind of a traumatic thing for a young kid to see.  I kept thinking that I was next.

That is one cool picture.  Owls are all great until they get into your chicken coupe and kill all your hens.

Owls are why we put our chicken yard under trees. The Redtails and Eagles are not real happy with that arrangement either.
