Shocker: Media Doesn’t Broadcast Obama’s Press Conference On Blagojevich

It apparently wasn’t as newsworthy as the news conference where he announced the new Secretary of Commerce. Or even newsworthy enough to interrupt “The Price is Right.”

ABC was the only network to break into its daytime programming on Thursday with live coverage of Barack Obama’s press conference regarding the Wednesday arrest of Illinois’s Democratic Governor Rod Blagojevich. Neither CBS nor NBC interrupted regular programming to cover the press conference, during which Obama also named former Senator Tom Daschle as Health and Human Services secretary.
This lack of coverage is particularly odd because both CBS and NBC featured live coverage of past significant Obama press conferences.

What the public doesn’t know won’t hurt them, I guess.

AP reported Obama answered questions about Blago in a halting manner on the video.

I’ll ask again: Why do you brainstems always play victim? Why do you think the press hates you? Is it your sense that your ideas are horrible to anyone with a brain?

Bonus question: If the “MSM” is on its way out and lagging behind such stellar outlets as FOX, Rush and Sean (as I’ve read on here many times), why would it matter that the press is liberal? Did the people hear the messages from your more popular outlets and reject them, recoiling in horror and the negativity, scandal-mongering and ignorance?

It’s a conspiracy! Someone get me Ken Starr! We need to hunt this President!

By God, if we can’t win the election, we’ll hogtie the winner!

Dino, when the press won’t cover Obama when he’s credibly suspected of interacting with a common criminal, since when is it paranoia to think they’re in the bag for him?

Let’s be serious here. They didn’t lay off Nixon when he denied Watergate, or Clinton when he denied Monica. Refusing to cover him when he doesn’t have his teleprompter is new ground for the media.

A media, that, um, you know, um, thinks Obama is a great, um, speaker, despite, um, the fact that, um, he can’t say a complete, um, sentence without verbalizing his, um, pauses.

Dino assumes that if he asks an inane, self-serving question or two, all others are duty-bound to answer same.

    Grow up.

  • Dino

    No answers for me?

Didn’t think so. The brainstems are too busy wallowing in victimhood.

By God, if we can’t win the election, we’ll hogtie the winner!

Yep, just what we heard from Democrats for eight years about Bush.

You have severe memory issues, don’t you.

Even when shown clear examples of media bias, the left shrugs and makes excuses.

This is all a distraction from Obama’s search for a non-allergenic dog for his girls.

Hiding it, ehh … No one knows what is next, can’t afford to go live and let the news chips fall. I bet the prosecutors were watching.

Can’t wait until we get a real news media and dispose of this Democrat shill carcass.

Words mean things, and changes to words really mean things. There is a whole lot of changing going on.

As an equal opportunity asshole, I don’t have a dog in this fight (in deference to full disclosure, I did not vote for either major party candidate in 2000, 2004, or this year–I refuse to vote for the lesser of two evils, but I don’t have a problem looking in the mirror when I shave).

I do find it somehow fitting that the left wing loons (raise your hand, dino) are foaming at the mouth about folks questioning Obama’s actions/motives/intentions after they spent 8 solid years trying to destroy President Bush.

I have no illusions about Bush, I think he’s been–at best–a mediocre president. But I refuse to demonize him. I won’t demonize Obama either, but I also won’t kowtow to, or be bullied by, his partisan minions.

In the immortal words of my First Shirt in Vietnam while viewing the righteously dead bodies of a half dozen VC sappers…”Payback’s a bitch, ain’t it?”

It’s frustrating because Obama said so little on Wednesday about it – just watched this video – good quote from Toobin regarding who would even accept the position from Blago.

    Shrugs and makes excuses.

Fairness and honesty are not “liberal” or “progressive” values.

You are obviously talking about Democrats.

They own the patent on victimhood.

    Obama fatigue… um,already?
