Shocker: Joel Heitkamp Puts Yard Signs On Public Property
11:36am
Judging by the Democrat reaction over the last few days, the appearance of Obama/Heitkamp yard signs (many placed illegally on public property in the Fargo area) was some major political scandal tantamount to Watergate. Heidi Heitkamp’s brother, Joel Heitkamp, was particularly vicious in his denunciations of the development, going so far as to accuse a former law enforcement officer (based on no real evidence at all) and broadcast his home address/telephone number over the air.
But if Heitkamp really things that the placement of these signs on public property is such an utter travesty, how does he explain yard signs advertising his radio station on public property? Specifically along boulevards next to roads?
A reader sent this to me yesterday showing a KFGO sign (along with signs for other Radio Fargo-Moorhead stations) placed in the boulevard along a street near the Fargodome:

I guess this sort of thing is only a scandal when Republicans do it. And by the way, the placing of these signs on public property is, in fact, illegal under city statute.
