Server Move Completed

If you can see this the server hamster exchange we started last night has been completed.

If, when you tried to load Say Anything over the last day and a half you were prompted for a username and password, that was because we had turned the blog off while the move was in progress.  There was nothing wrong on your end.

I would have liked to have notified everyone prior to the move so that you weren’t just confronted with a confusing screen, but things reached a critical mass yesterday and we couldn’t keep the old server up at all.

Now we’ve got big, beefy server hamsters turning the wheels here at SAB Central Command, which should be more than enough to handle the sort of traffic the blog is getting these days.

If any of you are noticing any problems please let me know.

It’s up and moving fast. Yay!

When I saw that login prompt and then it wouldn’t let me on I thought you didn’t love me anymore.

Sniff.

I got a lot of emails along those lines.  Is SAB closing?  Why can’t I get on!  Why don’t you love me any more?

I also got a lot of “You’re banning me you fascist right winger” emails too.

Fun.

What bugs me is that the flogging server rodents get paid more than I do.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Welcome back. I hope my heartfelt cries of “Don’t go into the light!!!!” helped.

I just hope the resident obsessive bobert108 survived the time down. We would hate to lose such a wonderful case study to another blog site. Glad the site is back up! Thanks Rob

Actually I traded a couple emails with Froggy this morning and he is having similar problems on a fairly regular basis. So maybe it is something in the ether?

Let me guess.  Did the respondents names start with ‘h’ or ‘r’ or ‘e’ or…

Anyway glad you’re back on the net.  I was going crazy trying to find some other way to spend the time I usually spend on this blog.

You don’t have to be a moron to be a liberal Democrat but it sure helps.

“You’re banning me you fascist right winger”

That’s rude. You aren’t a fascist. That’s r108 and Neiman.

I thought Beefs were cows and hams were piggies. Youv’e bread piggies that taste like cows? ...I worship the ground you walk upon, sir!
