Senator Sam Switchback
I guess Sam feels strongly both ways about the amnesty bill.

Why does Gaylord Conrad want to give all the good union jobs to the foreign hordes?(:^(
what’s the context of this? Did he change his vote because of an ammendment?

NARAL’s (abortion) political director Elizabeth Shipp acknowledged it “would help” the pro-choice movement if a Republican proved it was possible to win the presidency while still supporting abortion rights (ie… Rudy Giuliani) .
Because once they lose their jobs they’ll be victims for him to exploit?
What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity? I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.
No, there was no amendment.
He must have decided he couldn’t take the political heat to vote for cloture.
By the time he changed his vote it was clear that the amnesty bill wasn’t going to pass.

I don’t know what the big deal is looking for ways of busting up Sam. I’m sensing some log cabin, libertarian republicans slithering around here.
I think Sam is a great conservative, especially for social conservatives like myself. He’s one of the only ones I’d truly 100% trust when it comes to abortion.
Honestly, I don’t blame anybody for not knowing what to do on this bill. I wonder how many other senators have switched sides on this issue and how many times with all the different changes in the bills happening DAILY. This isn’t like the Iraq war as Harry Reid and many others shove in dozens of amendments in 1 day. It’s not like the Iraq war when you had weeks or months to decide this stuff.
