Once again, Today’s Question: What’s Black & White and Red all over?

Rugby lies to us. But worse than that, he lies to himself.

With every character he types, he heaps derision and scorn on that which is American, patriotic and Conservative.

He spews hatred at the military and contempt for the Marine Corps.

Yet he writes that he was a Marine.

In the slim possibility of this being true, it is more likely than not, given the attitude reflected in his writings, he was, at best, one of the few types that other Marines call shitbirds or fuckups.

Because, first and foremost, being a Marine is an attitude and a state of mind. That state of mind, for example, is reflected in the writings of Pilgrim and Nieman, and is very much the same as what you would find in Chief RZ and 2H9′s writings, as they too were veterans, but from the sister service of the Army.

Rugby, on the other hand, spews the vitriol of the shitbird who spent most of his time on his face or in the brig.

I would be very surprised to learn — if he actually was a Marine, like he says he was — that he left with an Honorable Discharge.

We only know Rugby from his writings, and nothing from his writings reflects that he is Conservative, right-leaning or a Marine.

When you remove from people the conscious knowledge of the consequences of their actions, the society begins to act in whatever way can be gotten away with as there is no negative repercussion to dissuade them.

When you remove from people the unconscious knowledge of the consequences of their actions, the society begins to stop acting at all, for they no longer see any point in doing anything as actions no longer have any consequences implied, and thus there is no reason to do them.

At that point force, blind obedience, unquestioning acceptance, an unthinking adherence to a tradition without a past, become the social order at the bottom or else utter chaos and revolt. Like 1984, no one remembers the past accurately, and the present and future are whatever they are told.

The human mind however will not cooperate and eventually the human instinctive understanding of actions being followed with effects begins to bubble up again as it did when they discovered fire, realized they could smelt ore to make metal, and so forth. They also begin to acquire a sense of the mistreatment from the system continuing to try to force itself on them against their instincts. It feels alien, wrong, and dangerous.

Revolt and chaos follow.

That is what socialism must inevitably bring about. Disruptive misbehavior, opportunistic predatory behavior, passive-aggressive non-cooperation with one’s own interests, underachievement, malaise, idle sloth, mental and social graying out, and then the spark of man’s self-defense mechanism against the total death of the self ignites a fire.

We should just say no to Obama and his ilk and avoid that outcome by encouraging people the other way. That things you do have meaning, effect, and consequence. That you can and that others cannot for you. That you must and must not wait for others for you. Thankfully, Obama is giving us an excellent example of the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of it. We need only keep notice of it alive and preach the opposite to have a chance. We need only sit back and do nothing to see our civilization decline into nothingness.
