Who knew North Dakota's senior Senator, Kent Conrad, would live in a dumpy 16-apartment complex in North Bismarck?
Apparently this has been the Senator's official residence (along with his wife, Lucy Calautti) since before 1990. Think the Senator actually lives there? Not bloody likely. The guy who snapped the photo lived there for eight years and never once saw the Senator.
The kicker? Conrad's brother apparently owns the complex.
I guess Conrad just needed a cheap place to maintain his residency in the state he represents in Washington. Though, it would be kind of nice, as a North Dakotan, to know that my senior Senator spends enough time living amongst his constituency to actually own a real home instead of some empty address kept for official purposes.
