Senate Health Care Bill Includes Taxes On Tanning Salons, Charitable Hospitals
And a whole host of other taxes on everything from employers to prescription drugs to health savings accounts.

The taxes in this bill are an aspect few people are talking about, but we should be. After all, look at the things being taxed. Health savings accounts? Those are owned by people who are self-insuring and taking responsibility for their own health care. We’re going to punish them with higher taxes to create more government-managed health care?
And charitable hospitals? These are private foundations providing care to people who can’t afford it with funding from people who want to provide it. An entire enterprise built on choice aimed at helping those who can’t help themselves, and they’re getting punished by more taxes as well?
Plus, a tax on employers at a time when we want those employers to be hiring more people to put our economy back together again?
Madness.
