I think he’s also referring to the fact that Reid had called Blago before all these corruption charges came about and asked him not to appoint three blacks, including Jesse Jackson, Jr. (two of which were national reps and one the state senate majority leader), and instead asked him to appoint two or three other, less qualified candidates (all of them white).

I’m not one to throw around charges of racism, and I won’t in this case either. But even I have to admit that it sure doesn’t look that great.

I know it’s hard for you conservatives to understand but liberals argue and deliberate and make decisions like all humans do. They work through issues and come to consensus, not always unanimous.

We see what happens when cons rules and act like Borg robots who think in lockstep, never questioning each other.

I am disappointed that Blagojevich is still governor of Illinois. I’m disappointed that Reid and the others denied Burris his seat. I’m disappointed that this has been seen as a racist issue instead of a corruption issue. Mostly, I’m disappointed that I actually thought I’d find some interesting feedback here. I find this site to be simply a microcosm of society…people quick to judge and point fingers via childish, grade-school name calling. Best to you all.

Blag is bulletproof because he did not act alone. Conspirators need fellow conspirators and he kept enough dirt in his files to ensure that if-I-go-down-you-guys-are-going-down-too.

All that said, I believe mostly that each of us, as a US citizen, has the right to believe what we do. I believe we each have a responsibility to defend those who can’t defend themselves. I believe we should speak out for injustice and inhumanity.
