Seal, Heidi Klum Threaten To Leave America If McCain Is Elected

Of course, neither of them are Americans, but whatever.

Seal and Heidi Klum join the list of celebrities threatening to leave the U.S. if John McCain wins Tuesday…
Seal told this month’s Vanity Fair: “If McCain is elected and America staggers on further towards the abyss, then we will leave the country. That is not a problem for us.”
The British singer, who can’t vote in the election, says of Barack Obama, “There is no doubt that he is a great man, and I would put a cross next to his name immediately, if I could.”
But he’s pretty optimistic about the outcome of the election, saying that the energized youth of America has “had enough of the atrocities of the Bush administration.”
“The health system is a catastrophe, the economy has hit rock bottom, and Bush has forced his country through lies into an unnecessary and horrible war,” Seal said in the VF interview.

If America sucks so bad why did they come here in the first place?

If Seal and Klum do leave they will be entitled to no more respect from me for the stupidity of their actions than for opening their mouths in the first place.

Look… someone whose fame and fortune, whose very being, derives from a lifelong commitment to fantasy and make believe probably doesn’t know shit about reality anyway. And the pronouncements of such celebrities isn’t worth the newsprint… or the bandwidth.

Since they are both immigrants, I assume they came here for a better life; if that is not happening for them, they are certainly welcome to leave. I don’t think any Americans should be threatened by that, or should even care about it. They both will continue to hawk their wares here in the US, no matter where they live.

American actors/actresses have been saying things like this as far back as I can remember and beyond. Some do leave, some come and go. What I think is funny are the ones who come out and make a big deal about leaving then don’t go. They end up looking stupid. The wonderful thing about this country is that they can say and do what they want. I don’t give a rat’s hairy ass if some celeb wants to come out with their goofy opinions. I do have a real problem with people like Sean Penn who befriend someone like Chavez. Personally, I call that being a traitor. I can’t believe that the liberals would want them, either.
