Closer inspection of a photo of Sarah Palin, during a speech in which she mocked President Obama for his use of a teleprompter, reveals several notes written on her left hand. The words “Energy”, “Tax” and “Lift American Spirits” are clearly visible.
Meanwhile on MSNBC, Palin was described as a “merchant of hate with an oh-gosh smile.”

While I certainly think the left is unfair and vicious toward her (but what’s new?), she could have given a better speech. It was very superficial rhetoric, lacking details, and I think ultimately showing that she doesn’t quite get it. Maybe it is for the group she spoke to, but I don’t think the Tea Parties are not all about how bad the democrats are and how we need to slow the growth of government. All of that kind of talk is just crummy republican campaign material.

So. It’s a scandal now that Palin wrote 5 words on her hand and gave a 45-minute speech. It’s bad that it wasn’t as smooth or prepared as those given by someone as obviously illustrious as, say… Obama.

These children tend to have a lower than average cognitive ability, often ranging from mild to moderate developmental disabilities. They usually tend to be very affectionate, loving, joyful and most can contribute to their own lives in many ways, including full time employment.
I have often worked with Down’s Syndrome children and feel fortunate to have had that experience and I feel nothing but pity for you that you would attack these special human beings.

In the olden days not only was there a smaller electorate, there were also almost pictures in the paper and very few people actually got to hear a politician speak. Thus it was only on the issues that people could vote. Abraham Lincoln is a rather ugly man and would not get past even a democrat primary today.
In todays political climate its all about flash and who delivers the best speech, most voters only care about politics and positions for about 3 months before an election unless there is something awful going on. Both sides play on that stupidity and try to capitalize in order to gain majority. They rarely in the past decade have won on message alone.
