Sarah Palin Facts

Sarah Palin facts:

It’s not raining in DC. Those are God’s tears of joy that McCain picked Sarah Palin.

We don’t know who would win in a Chuck Norris - Sarah Palin cage match because they’ve never invented a cage that can hold Sarah Palin.

Little known fact: Sarah Palin would have just had an Eagle drop the Ring into Mount Doom.

Little known fact: If placed into Schroedinger’s experiment, both Sarah Palins remain alive.

Little known fact: NFL teams may draft Sarah Palin, if they forfeit all their other players forever, to maintain league parity.

Sarah Palin’s brain is three times the size of Joe Biden’s. It’s science.

Hawk, from Wikipedia:

Palin has described herself as a “Bible-believing Christian” who attends a non-denominational church.[105] The National Catholic Reporter described her as a “post-denominational” Christian.[106]

But you keep on stereotyping people.  Everyone in their own little box, right?

Gotta like her windfall profits tax on oil that allows
Alaska to send out checks for $3200 to the proletariat.

Not so good is the fact that the oil companies write off the tax against their federal taxes.

Hawk, as a fundamentalist myself, I’ve got some serious disagreement with evolution and some parts of cosmology, but not quantum physics.  Nice unbased insult, but you might do well to become acquainted with reality.

Nice list, Proof.  :^)

Not so good is the fact that the oil companies write off the tax against their federal taxes.

WOOF,

Amazing how far those of you on the Left will go to demonstrate your economic ignorance and your petty partisan hatred of success!

In the first place, all of us, you included “write off” the taxes we pay on our federal tax returns, deducting from taxable income state income taxes, property taxes, ad valorum taxes, and the like. To castigate oil companies for doing what is not only sensible but perfectly legal, and something all of us do, is just plain stupid!

Second, is your blatantly idiotic implied alternative, that we should instead pay taxes on other taxes we have already paid.  That sort of nonsense may pass as wisdom in the world of Democrats where economic wisdom is as precious and fleeting as common sense, but in the real world paying taxes on taxes just doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Bike,

Don’t you know that unless you accept evolution (molecules to man) as absolute truth, you are anti-science?  You don’t get to accept only 95% of scientific theory and not be anti-science.

I listened. Until the 5 minutes of sadistic, graphic details of McCains physical troubles in Nam. Then I tuned out. Was it before that? More importantly, is it true?

No one does it the real way anymore. They bring in ATVs and such. My gramps used to carry the thing out of the woods, a quarter at a time.

That’s what “field dressing” is, moron!  You hang it, gut it, behead it and skin it, then cut it up into manageable pieces.  Hauling it out isn’t “field dressing”.  Sorry you don’t know that.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Don’t lecture me about hunting, ass. I can field dress a deer and not quarter it. Now, with big ATVs and such, many people don’t need to quarter a moose to get it out of the woods. My family is from Maine.

While the moose is a member of the deer family, you must cut it down to haul it out of the woods, unlike Bambi who you just killed. I’m sure even you can lug a fawn out without quartering it.  Field dressing doesn’t include hauling, like I said; it may or may not include quartering, if the game is small enough.  Deer don’t, moose do.  Sorry you don’t know that. I don’t care where you claim your family’s from; you are still an ignoramus with a filthy mouth.

False equivalence.  So-called “gay marriage” isn’t marriage at all.  Unmarried sex is a mistake in judgment, and the consequences are there to teach that lesson.  Big difference.

Jeff,

It should be obvious, even to you, that lots of people have an unmarried teenage daughter.  Fact is, the vast majority of teenagers are unmarried.

Bat One on September 4, 2008 at 09:25 pm

I think Jeff just plain forgot to type in “pregnant”, but I could be wrong.  In any case, it has nothing to do with the fact that what gays do isn’t “marriage”.

Sarah is soft on Gays:

Vice Presidential candidate is a 44 year-old woman who served as Governor of Alaska and Mayor of Wasilla, Sarah Palin. But how is she on gay issues? Here’s what my sources tell me:

* Opposes marriage equality, and is “a proud member of Feminists for life.”

* During her 2006 campaign, “Palin said she’s not out to judge anyone and has good friends who are gay, but that she supported the 1998 constitutional amendment.”

* She “doesn’t know” if people choose to be gay.

* Her response to the 2005 state Supreme Court ruling requiring equal access to legal benefits for same-sex couples was mixed. Unlike the previous administration, she did comply with the court’s order and signed same-sex partner benefits in law. On the other hand, she supports denying those benefits through a constitutional amendment, if that’s what the public wants.

* Positively, Palin’s first veto was used on legislation that would have barred the state from granting benefits to gay state employees and their partners. In effect, her veto granted State of Alaska benefits to same-sex couples. The veto occurred after Palin consulted with Alaska’s attorney general on the constitutionality of the legislation in the light of the 2005 ruling.

Sounds reasonable to me.  So-called “gay marriage” isn’t marriage, and no amount of lying or political pressure from minority groups can change that fact.  Like most conservatives, she draws a distinct line between personal values and those imposed on us by an all-powerful govt.
I have no objection to gays doing what they do, as long as I don’t have to pay for it, or as long as they don’t try to force their values on the rest of it.
You totalitarian lefties just don’t get it.

You are really sounding desperate, H.  Sarah is coming for you, and all the rest of the America-hating lefties.

Jeff wins for laugh of the day.  As the daddy of four girls myself, I sure hope that I have a breach of family values by having unmarried teen daughters in my home for a few years!

For the record, it’s noted that they were engaged, and that they are getting married.  Doesn’t change the fact that they were foolish, but at least they’re taking responsibility instead of going to the local Planned Infanticide clinic.
