SAB’ers Fantasy Football Results Week Two

Another week has passed in SAB'ers Fantasy Football and I've lost another game.

I'm beginning to wonder why I even started this league. Fantasy football is so dumb. Well, ok, that's just a bit of last-place bitterness coming out...but my team has been ravaged by injuries. Anyway, enough excuses from me...here's the results:

The Jimmies (Hoodlumman): 63
The Thundering Herd (Me): 53

Off in the Woods (Rob B.): 55
Rhinoceros Hunters (FreeRepublicans.com): 67

Petey's Pancakers (Colin): 54
Narloch Nonames (brenarlo): 91

macaques: 50
The Fighting Trotskys (Mike Adamson): 56

The Avengers: 68
Houston Fireants (The King of Fools): 69

Needs More Cowbell (One Big Swede): 74
Stix (Doug from Stix 1972): 50

Gilby Gunslingers (Gilbyguy): 68
Rural Raiders (Shane Ede): 44

That's it.

Let the smack talk begin.

Hood, you’re just lucky my team is crippled with injuries.

I had an error like that and King of Fools helped me out.  It turns out that I was posting something about Monty Python.  (he fixed that) Apparently that’s a danger word in the spam comment world.  (Like there’s a danger script.)

So it could be one single word that’s triping you up.  But I don’t have any idea what it might be.

Jeez I hate those guys with excuses.  Did the G’s come up with excuses when they hit the beaches at Normandy?

Later this week SA should be moving to a whole new blogging platform, so that should fix these stupid 403 problems.

Yay ME!  I had the least points this week.  Seriously… I don’t even have injuries to fall back on like Rob. wink

I like it that you don’t weasel out and blame injuries for your results.  The fantasy football world needs more people like you and less like Rob.

Rob couldn’t even win with the Waterboy.

How did you find out I’m a jerk?  That was supposed to be part of my secret identity.

By the way Rob, it’s going to be a long season.

I’m beginning to wish that the Raiders would trade off Jerry Porter so I would have a decent receiver… I can understand his frustration, what with the raiders not having a quarterback and all.

Ede,

I got stuck with Randy Moss who I didn’t really want but haven’t dropped because I figured he’d still put up better stats than anyone I could get off the waivers...but he’s been awful so far.  Mostly because, like you say, Oakland doesn’t have a QB.

Given that Moss isn’t getting any passes, and my two other starting receivers (Steve Smith and Antonion Chatman) have been out with injuries… I’m hurting.

The only reason I was close this week was because Beldsoe had a decent game and my kicker/defense are awesome.

It’s still possible that Moss might put up some decent numbers before the year is over, but the O-line of the Raiders isn’t giving anyone any time.  Even Brooks should be able to get a few completions in, but he doesn’t have the time.

Very true…

But Moss’ numbers are killing me right now.
