SAB Attacked
If you’ve had a hard time loading Say Anything of late, meaning that when you try to load the page or click on links it takes forever to come up, I think we’ve got the problem fixed.
Obviously it’s election time, and right now the blog is having it’s best traffic year ever. That growth in traffic comes with headaches on the back end in terms of keeping the server hamsters running. Until today we thought the slow page loads had to do with big traffic loads.
Unfortunately, we discovered that somebody had launched a denial of service attack on the server.
We’ve tightened our security and all should be well now, but if for some reason you can’t load the page at some point in the future or if you come across some other irregularity please contact me immediately.
As for who is responsible for the attack, and why, we don’t know. It could be political (I do tend to make a lot of people angry), or just some random asshat bent on digital vandalism.
Either way, sorry for the interruption.
