Russians Edit Out Reference To Declaration Of Independence From Obama’s Berlin Wall Video Address

Here’s the unedited BBC version of Obama’s remarks (including the bit of self-adulation he managed to slip in that I posted about earlier):

Here’s Obama’s self-aggrandizing quote:

“Few would have foreseen … that a united Germany would be led by a woman from Brandenburg or that their American ally would be led by a man of African descent. But human destiny is what human beings make of it,” Obama said.

And here’s the edited version of Obama’s remarks which appeared on Russian television which removed Obama’s reference to the Declaration of Independence.  But not, for some strange reason, the reference to the Iron Curtain.

You gotta wonder what part of “all men are created equal” still ticks off the Russians.
