Romney Drops Out, McCain’s The Man

He’ll apparently be announcing it at CPAC.

The only question now is, who will be VP?

I am not sure I want to even vote.

To me is is either inside the boiling frypan or directly into the fire. We are still going to get burned badly either way it goes, it depends on if we want to burn slowly in the firepan and enjoy the experience or get crispy as fast as possible.

McCain’s arrogance and his romance with leading liberals will force him to rule more like the late Senator Frank Church from Idaho, conservative as hell on the military and national defense and an extreme social liberal on all other matters. But, we should think positive and not negative: We will be safe at home (America) while the liberal rapists and we can both feel warm and comfortable while we all get politically assaulted.

Okay every one, no matter who gets elected as our next POTUS, get in the bending over position with your drawers dropped because one of three people are poised to stick it to us!

Gene,

There are plenty of folks who don’t much care that the Giants beat the Patriots in the Superbowl.  But then they probably aren’t really football fans in the first place, are they?

The first step to finding the correct answer to any issue is to first learn how to correctly pose the question. That is a rough recall of a comment by Margaret Thatcher.

We can realistically examine the very dark scenario that is before us in this election cycle and just surrender without a fight, dig a hole and cover our butts until the next election cycle; or, we can refuse to varnish over the situation, we can decide to face it realistically and in this manner pose the question correctly, not like Pollyanna but honestly refusing to look away from the ugly possibilities, and thereby we can discover how to best turn a less than happy situation around to the advantage of our conservative values and the country.

Or, we can talk bullshit, like the quote above!

When we are young if we are not somewhat liberal, it must be considered that we have no heart.

When we are more mature, if we are not conservative it proves we have no brains.

It is very hard to be considered amusing or funny, when we mostly speak in nonsensical utterances like this quote above. It may amuse you a great deal, but what good is it having an audience of one?

The Republicans just lost another supporter!  John McCain is a closet liberal, whose track record is more in line with Harry Reid.  When Romney dropped out we lost the last best hope for a president who had integrity.  I’ve declared myself as an “independent”.

What about Obama and Hillary? With them it is liberalism without a national defense policy or inclinations.

The elites have forced a new party or have very nearly..

WHY am I supposed to like McCain again?

golfmann on February 7, 2008 at 02:31 pm

If McCain happens to go all the way he’ll have a difficult tenure. Not only will our friends on the left blame him for all that is wrong in the world, as they have W for the better part of the past 8 years, a large portion of the right will too. The next 4 years look pretty bleak.

At least when George Bush was reading My Pet Goat, he genuinely had no idea Manhattan was being terrorized. And it wasn’t by his own plane.

Has anyone heard from ole Newtie yet?

Betcha a doughnut that the Gingrich is getting a haircut and a wifey statement together and within uuuummmm, two weeks, goppers will look up from the gloomy gutter of despair, swell with hope and hear: “Newtie’s the One” spill from of the faux news readers gobs.

There will be joy in mudville. Bluebirds will sing in Dixie. Butt voters will put down the remote, push away the TV tray and ask for a hand up. It will be Hannity’s finest hour. And then there will be Newtie. (or someone else…this is just to juicy for a true red conservative to sit out.)

Nickblogger & hoodlumman:

Colin Powell. Interesting choice. He would be in a good position to attack Obama without facing the inevitable cry of [fill in the blank].

Fred Thompson. That would be nice too. He would help balance the ticket for many conservatives. The die-hards could check the obits every day for better news.
