Roger Johnson in the Cabinet?

Roger Johnson, ND’s current ag commissioner, is being mentioned as a possible candidate for Obama’s Cabinet as Secretary of Agriculture.

BISMARCK – Some lists of a potential secretary of agriculture in the new Obama admininstration include North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Roger Johnson.

Johnson says he’s happy with his current job and isn’t seeking the cabinet post in Washington. But he says if the president calls, “you answer.”

Something tells me that he’d take the gig if offered to him.  I would think that someone like Tom Vilsack the former Gov of Iowa or Tom Harkin, also of Iowa.  A darkhorse could be Collin Peterson, from right across the river in Minnesota’s 7th District.
